My Zenphone 6 died a couple weeks ago (mobo) and I was in the market doing research on what I want then bumped into this last week and will be ordering. All I need is the 12Gig 256 model and I'm good to go. This phone dropped right on time for me!

Great review! There's actually a hidden fourth mode called "Diablo mode" it locks both cpu and gpu to their maximum clock speed.

First time seeing one of your reviews I enjoyed it. I love the fact you talked about things other talked about less, would still like to see what you thought about the gaming and to hear some conclusions.

The only thing that concerns me is that it's only getting 75% stability in the extended 3D test with a fan. I know it might sound picky af but I was hoping we'd be back up to the 90s like the 855 and to some extent the 865 Anywho, great review dude!

yeah, unfortunately these new SoC's produce a lot of heat, so when the thermal throttling kicks in, just like on PC's, the temps go up and down 2 to 3 degrees, which causes the CPU core performance to spike and drop as it reaches it's thermal limit and then drops thanks to the fan. That being said, there isn't any real world use case that will actually cause this behavior to happen. I use synthetic tests, which pushes the system to beyond anything anyone would do. But I hear ya, would be nice just to see a 90% - 100% stability score

i think you should have tested the phone with diablo mode on that way there will be no thermal throttling whatsoever

Odd thing is this is the only video where I've seen 78% stability in Wildlife extreme test. Every other reviewer got 98-99% on the same test.

Hello.. i just bought this phone today. Anyone who have one with a clone ps4 controller? Does it work without delay? And if you have a clone microsoft/xbox controler, does it work just fine connecting it to a type c dock that have usb and hdmi slots? Thanks

The OS this runs is really close to stock android. They didn't change much except the obvious gamery widgets and menus, which you can of course remove and just not use.

Is the software stable? Any weird bugs or instability? I read the review piece on XDA and whoever reviewed it claimed the software was near unusable.

it will be a bit buggy for a bit with some poor translation and some things not even translated to english, it will gete better oveer timee tho

Seems like a great phone. I had a look at the s23 ultra and when comparing it im deffo going for red magic 8 pro as its way cheaper then a s23 ultra 512gb 12gbram compared to a red magic 8 pro transparent void 512gb 16gb ram. Will have better performance compared to s23 ultra due to also having better cooling as well. Only maybe downside on the red magic 8 pro is camera but its good enough for me. Upgrading from a s21 ultra. Have been using samsung for 10 years and it seems its time to start fresh with rm 8 pro. Thanks for the review.

I choose the s23 ultra. I just don't know the quality of the components. My note 10plus lasted me 4 years. (Gaming) the battery life never seem to diminish until its last month of life.

I am debating whether to get this phone or the Samsung S23 Ultra. I really like the display and do not care much about camera function. I care most about the display (no visible notch), long battery life, and headphone jack. Now, I do not play game on the phone so is there a way to turn off all the RGB lights and also turn off the fan so that the phone is quiet and also has more battery life? I mainly use the phone to browse the internet and watching youtube videos. I like to know how is the battery life with normal internet usage without gaming.

Yes you can permanently turn off the RGB lights as well as the built in Fan.

I am in the exact same boat as you. I only use internet and email. Wondering if this would be a good phone for me.

Is this a reliable and long lasting phone? How would it compare to something like a new Samsung? Obviously it's cheaper... But how long will it last? Also can you get full wrap around protective cases for this?

This phone packs a monster of a batter but no full wrap around cases because those are gonna block the air triggers on this phone. Ur better off searching for a regular android if ur a non gamer

I understand you can't make this phone water resistant but it would've been cool if they could figure that out while keeping the fan

Mabye if they had a little internal sliding seal on the inside of the air vent that closes when the fan is not in use to at least protect the proscessor and internals from water damage

Best looking phone bettwr than s23, ut wish it had a 7 inch widwr aspect ratio bettwr for gaming.

Great review. It's a shame such a beautiful and Powerful phone doesn't have desktop mode similar to Motorola and Dex on Samsung then you truly have a portable computer in your pocket

@@JaredBusch I saw this on another video, but someone got a much higher benchmark score when using balance mode instead of high performance mode. That score might actually be that reviewers score they got when they did it

I got 1 and it's just a magic for gamers

Savage phone 2023

Pretty cool looking phone but yeah, why even add such a thing as Mora to a phone. Maybe they really want to attract gamer weebs as buyers with an anime girl with jiggly boobs. I doubt that gaming phone market is that saturated you'd even need such a gimmick. That 3 month old security patch is bit of a concern, I looked on the page and it says the phone is launched but not released yet, how does that even work. But maybe they'll actually get it some software when it actually releases, but who knows.. Anyways, there was a whole segment about audio on their page, so how was it compared to other phones? Or was it just the same old tinny speakers like any other phone? I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case after looking all that marketing jargon the page is filled with.

Im gonna buy this eventhough i dont even game on my phone the specs are insane and under display camera is nice for watching movies. 6000mah!!! This outlasts the iphone 14 pro max just like the rog phone 6 pro. The other one, the 8 pro + is in china only for now but that one also has 165w charging and 5000mah might

@@keitaparada1497 I use cricket wireless too, at&t sucks when it comes to using unlocked phones, certain phones have to be approved by the at&t white list other wise they won't work with at&t and any post paid and pre paid carrier that uses the at&t network. I used to have the asus rog phone 1 and 2 and they are no longer compatible with cricket wireless anymore due to the 3g shut down from at&t. I still have my vivo nex s and it used to be compatible with cricket wireless but it's no longer compatible with cricket wireless. The asus rog phone 1 and 2 will work with any carrier that uses the tmobile network but not with any network that uses at&t. Basically tmobile let's you use any unlocked phone but at&t is strict when using unlocked phones on there network. Ever since at&t shut down 3g on there network it's harder to figure out what unlocked phones work on there network. When I used to put my cricket wireless sim card in a non compatible phone, it would automatically suspend the line and I would have to take the sim card out of the phone and put the sim card in a compatible phone otherwise the same cycle continues about suspending the line. I wish at&t would allow any unlock phones work on there network but they won't allow that. Instead we are stuck with certain models of unlock phones. I have the sony xperia 1 iv that I pre ordered in 2022 from best buy and I get 5g on cricket wireless. I still have my sony sony xperia 1 iii but it only gets 4g lte on cricket wireless and at&t because the 5g bands for the sony xperia 1 iii I have are for tmobile and verizon 5g networks. I have the samsung z fold 4 unlocked from best buy and I also use it on cricket wireless. There is a flossy carter video that he mentions that he got the zte red magic 8 pro phone to work with at&t since I asked him what carrier did he use the red magic 8 pro and he said he uses at&t. Just look up the zte red magic 8 pro flossy carter video but I don't remember which part of the comment I left on his video.

@@OledBurnInKing I have lg k92 5g and I the 5g works on that phone, and I have a surface dou unlocked and it works really good on my network. Plus I heard that some phones work on AT&T but don't work for cricket. I'm not sure

@@keitaparada1497 I used to have the lg k92 5g but I gave it to my mom since the sony xperia xa ultra she was using is no longer compatible with cricket wireless, I even had the samsung galaxy a52 5g but I also gave that to my sister to use with cricket wireless.

It's a very good looking phone. If it had decent cameras I'd seriously consider it.

sounds to me he's dissapointed this phone doesnt have wireless charging why the hell do you need wireless charging for??? that will bump up the price,slower charging,produce more heat just buy an extra type c cable shove it into your car
