Castlevania: Bloodlines is one of three 16-bit Castlevania games, and one often overshadowed by Super Castlevania 4 and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and then by Castlevania: Symphony of the Night which came out a few years later.
Even still, Castlevania: Bloodlines is a fantastic game and in some ways outshines its near-peer counterparts because of it's tight gameplay, colorful graphics, interesting stages and set pieces, and wonderful music.
In this video I go over the background, gameplay and unique features of this fantastic Castlevania release.

Castlevania is my favorite franchise. My favorite game is a toss up between III,IV and rondo of blood. I’ve watched a lot of your content the last few days , you’ve got this down to a science.

I love Castlevania. Just because this is like my sixth favorite Castlevania game doesnt mean its bad. It means the franchise as a whole is very very good.

Bloodlines is one of my Top 3 favorites, along with Dracula X Rondo of Blood and C64/LoD.

One of my favorite Castlevanias
This game has one of the best ost’s on the Genesis
i miss this channel.
I am a very strange one when it comes to this game. I truly believe the Sega Genesis was loads better than the SNES during 1991-1994. Like, waaaay better. Not to mention, the amazing ‘89-90 Genesis titles. With that said, Bloodlines is my least favorite of all the 8 and 16 bit Castlevanias. I think it just “feels” off. I can’t really explain it, but I play Super IV and Rondo way more than Bloodlines. Everything pointed to me loving Bloodlines because, again, I think the Genesis was head and shoulders above the SNES (and T16). But, I just don’t care for it that much. I do love the soundtrack a lot but I just don’t care for it. With that said, I really dont like Contra Hard Corps at all and I don’t really care too much for Rocket Knight Adventure either. So maybe there’s something about Konami Genesis play control that I can’t explain or something. Either way, another great video, dude. I hope this channel can somehow get some traction and people could see these. I’ll always be here though, man!
Best Castlevania is Symphony of the Night. Rondo of Blood best among castlevanias with classic gameplay. And between Bloodlines and 4, Bloodlines is better one.
