    I bought the same yo Zuri braid at academy thats all they had and its the worse braid I've ever used...if it digs into itself and leaves a light mark in the line that'll be where it breaks.They make great lures dropped the ball with the line.Nice reel Mr. Ross,i still have my ct I bought it right after you got yours and I just changed the gears in it,All saltwater use and its still going cant kill it.Thx for the video.💣❤👍

    Congratulations on your new daiwa I love the reels too. Nice reds and trout Mr. Ross. It's been awhile but due to health problems and getting treatment I feel much better now. God bless and tight line's ever stop.

    Hello Ross im thinking that’s likely the clutch lever which calls for a total tear down and if it was me I’d have to send it off to Daiwa the Daiwa has a lot of screws to get down to the pinion gear shaft. ~tight lines ~

    Bass pro has their own reel repair shop. My curado 200 did the same thing and they only charged me 26 bucks with shipping. Fixed the thumb bar and installed a new pinion gear and clean and lube. Check it out. Took 3 weeks.

    This reel was going on 5 years in the salt and would have needed a complete overhaul so it was replacement time. That is a good deal with Bass Pro though.

    Bough a Tatula 200 H last month. $135 on amazon. Gotta look for the bargains. Not much different from my 200 Coastal. Time will tell. Enjoy the videos.

    Ross I would love to hear a side by side of why the Tatula is $100 less than the coastal. I bought the coastal and I think it needs a tear down already, making some noise when I cast . don't really know how to get to the gears. Have you done it?

    The gears are not engaged when you cast , so I would pull the side plate and oil the two axle bearings and the spool bearing. But use very light Oil and only a drop or two on each one.

    @@redfishross I did that tonight I think hopefully that will clean it up. The other day I was in the middle of a cast and for some reason my line snapped in the middle of the cast and it caused me to drop the rod so it got a full dunk.

    @@FlattieDaddy If it went under salt water you may have to do a full tear down or take it to a service center if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself.

    You replaced the CT without even opening it up? Could be a $5 part! It's recently discontinued and a local "outlet" for discontinued tackle has them for $99.

    Yes , after 5 years in saltwater and a ton of fish the gears and bearings were worn also so it was time to retire it.
