That intro and ending explains the difference between a fan of Superman and fan of Zack Snyder, and the rest is a nice trip into demon fiction.

This makes me think of these space aliens who humans fear despite them not genuinely being hostile but because of how they communicate through neural telepathic systems but to humans this means of communication is actually horrifically painful like having a burning poker rammed through your skull for humans because our minds don’t work like that so we develop an intensive fear of them regardless of individual intentions

This reminds me of a line that was ad-libbed by the Storyteller but became an overarching theme for a Hunter the Vigil game I played once. “Monster is a verb. It’s something you do”

One of my favourite mortal Kombat characters, Ashrah who recently came back to a new installment was dope iteration on the concept.

The cycle of cross-cultural inspiration have come full circle; whereas in 1989 the Kryptonian Ka-El inspired Toriyama Akira’s rewrite of Dragonball’s Son Goku, the Saiyan race from whom their white-sheep Goku hailed now influence the rewrite of today’s Kryptonians as marauding space pirates. Fancy that. 😊

I was going to make some sort of congratulatory comment for analyzing such an interesting topic, but then you showed that infamous image from the Eva manga. Could you at least put a little content warning somewhere, please, for those of us who can't handle depictions of animal abuse/harm? Thank you. 😺

I've always genuinely been confused about the pronunciation of his name. The comic never helped because he died immediately in the first issue.

Good vid, though you should have put what probably inspired the video, hazbin hotel, in the title.

The concept of demons being redeemed in some form has existed long before hazbin hotel did, and hazbin hotel is not discussed in the video.

Pretty much all Gilgamesh references are rooted in ignorance but this video's really takes the cake for having no idea what its talking about. Enkidu doesn't get redeemed he starts in a state of innocense and then gets sexually seduced into sacriligious murder and killed off for the crimes of the villain protagonist. Gilgamesh is the 1/3 demon in the story so only a tiny bit of research could have actually made a semi relevant point.
