Jay Park is well respected by not only young Khiphop artists but all Khiphop artists he is largely responsible for the rise in Khiphop popularity and for talking it international, signing to one of his labels means total artistic freedom which is not a big thing in SK, young rappers love him because he loves to create opportunities for them and give them the spotlight any way that he can, he is a role model to many nit just because his versatility, he raps, sings, dances, but also because he's a savvy businessman he owns 2 of the top Khiphop/R&B labels in SK, started a third label this year and also launched his own brand of Soju, Won Soju, which is massively popular and is still breaking sales records and also owns the company Won Spirits, the Korean government made a deal to build him a bigger manufacturing plant, even with the money he has he still such a down to earth person, lives in a modest house, has one car, doesn't buy alot of expensive clothes or jewelry, he really feels that people who have money should use it to help others, for him it's donating his fee for college festivals back to the schools for scholarships or helping to finance a film for one of his dancers, he's one of those people who would give you his last dollar because he doesn't like to see others suffer, he is truly a kind hearted person

YES!!! Also seconding all the JayB love. Please check out more of his work. Not only is he Got7’s leader, he produces music for himself under the moniker’s JayB and Def (formerly DEFSOUL). As well as producing music with his crew Øffshore (much more chill, triphop vibes)

there are like 40+ artists spread around Jay Park's 3 labels (independent k-hiphop labels only have like 10 or even less), so that kind of tells what kind of influence Jay has in the industry. You don't need to be under his labels for him to lend a hand (Jay has done a lot of features with smaller artists that aren't in his labels) it's not only young rappers that look up to him. He's in that middle ground of k-hiphop and k-pop (since he was an idol himself), so people from both places look up to him as their role model (some idols have even gone to auditions covering his songs, even members of BTS have once spoken about them being a fan of his, and especially BM or Matthew of co-ed group KARD has said that his role model is Jay Park) this to me is an odd thing; Jay is a massive figure in the industry however he's not topping the charts over there(I know idol music is more popular than k-hiphop and whatnot, but even in that industry) and I don't know if it's because he chooses to do more of a 90's style of hiphop and RnB or because his sound is more westernized (since he's American and his main producer, friend, and fellow bboy member Cha Cha Malone produces most of his songs) or because he's been more popular outside south Korea (kind of the reason why he got signed to be RocNation's first Asian artist. became an outsider to the US because they scrambled him in the same category as idol groups. still managed to be awarded " the game changer award" by the Smithsonian in 2019) Jay's highly respected inside the industry regardless of the hate he is getting (not my place to speak about. purely based on his career and how people around him/met him have talked about him). Jay has worked hard for almost 15 years, coming from Seattle as a bboy to South Korea without knowing its culture or language (made fun of because he was an outsider) and put into a k-pop idol group, had to flee that country because the Korean media went against him (MySpace comments from 2005 [he was like 17] got leaked in 2009), went home to Seattle where he worked in a tire shop, got back into South Korea in 2010 and signed to another K-pop entertainment company. 3 years after going solo and experiencing how those companies treated him, said f it I want to do whatever I want to do with my music and make music with people I want to work with and nobody can control me (basically) and started AOMG in 2013, H1ghr music in 2017, and More Vision in 2022 and other companies he runs like Won Soju (he's almost 36, had founded 2 labels, and signed to RocNation by the age of 30) all with the intent of giving artists full creative control of their music, their work, a good environment, and good pay + H1ghr Music signing a US artist to help out the Seattle scene, since he couldn't/weren't allowed to expand AOMG worldwide + More Vision, where he plans on debuting an idol group hopefully in a different way of how he saw/how it was/might still be to this day.

Last artist is JayB, he is the leader of GOT7 whom you reacted just a few days ago. He has a lot of solo music like all the GOT7 members and he was signed for a year under one of Jay park’s label ! The original song is from FORCEPARKBOIS and it’s actually a remix they did just caus they liked the original song, Jay park commented when the song got out and asked if he could do a remix, month later they released this but sadly it’s not on any platform as they just did it for the love of music and didn’t want to get any profit from it ! Some of them are very versatile Jay Park, Jayb, Park Hyunjin and Big Naughty all have a either rnb songs or rap songs or very melodic rap/ songs whenever they collab it’s always a vibe tbh

RnB/ pop Jay Park is my favorite but his hip hop stuff is always 🔥🔥. I feel like jay is over hated by some fandoms, just my opinion… and others 🙃. Anyways… Jay plays a big part in k-hip hop getting more attention over the years and yes a lot of k- artists look up to him, idols and k-hip hop artists. All of the artists that he has signed adore him and love what he does to support them all. I really admire jay, from where he started to where he is now the man has worked so so hard. 3 music labels, a soju company, an upcoming idol group, being a mentor, plus putting out his own music 😅. Hope we get more Jay park reactions and get to discuss about him more. My favorite signed to H1ghr is pH-1 btw, I’ll be seeing him in Orlando this January!! Hope we get more reactions of him also! 😁

Well he’s hated for being problematic not for his music. He is a musical genius and no one can deny that but I think he should change the way he acts sometimes and how he words things, since that what gets him in trouble.

@@v.m.k_x8416 didn’t say he’s hated because of his music, I just wanted to talk about that as well. I’ve seen ppl do some of same things he has done and worse, I still think he’s over hated 🤷🏽‍♀️. He has said ignorant stuff before but who hasn’t? I don’t think he needs to “change the way he acts” because besides what some ppl say on the internet and try to make threads about, the ppl that work with him and meet him have said the complete opposite of what ppl try to make him out to be, Koreans and non Koreans. It just seems like a trend to hate on him, like I deadass see the jokes all the time. He needs to be aware of how he words some things, yes and be corrected if needed, but he shouldn’t have to completely censor his self to fit the image others want him to have.

@@purpleguurlluvinlife I do respect your opinion, but I don’t think he’s over hated tho, because each time one scandal dies down another one come up, and you know jay park he can’t ignore the accusations coming at him, so he just makes things worse with his response to it. That’s why I don’t think he’s over hated, if he tries not to address every little accusation he would be good, and ofc if it’s a really bad accusations then he should address them.
