In the MV, being trapped in the trailer, with blue and gray lighting, fighting to get out, everything shaking...represents to other people how anxiety and depression feels. And when he escapes, but is on a moving truck, represents how he still carries that around. So Curtis saying he was trapped in his mind, spot on.

For those who don’t know, Suga’s been making beats since he was 13. He tried to sell some of his beats back then but being young he always got ripped off

In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D", which is derived from the initials DT, short for his birthplace, Daegu Town, and "Suga" spelled backwards. Std is a English abbreviations..I'm gonna take an educated guess that they abbreviate there own word for it in korean 성병 Seongbyeong.

I hope y’all will check out this full album soon, this track was very on brand for the 1st half of the album which is sooo full of his anger and pride (directed towards those who’s been talking sht since he left underground) But beyond that he also gets EXTREMELY introspective and raw with us in the later half of the album. He’s so bluntly honest (whether he’s being vulnerable or talking sht) and that’s a big part of why I love him as an artist

I agree with the Eminem reference. Eminem is the last American rapper that I truly loved. AgustD made Suga my bias bc of how much it felt like Eminem. However, the more I listened to Suga/Agust D I realized that he is so much more. His flow and emotional lyrics keep me a fan. And don’t get me started on his production. He’s a genius. frfr

Well Eminem was a big early influence for Suga so that makes sense. Fun fact - When Suga raps "My tongue technology that sends you to Hong Kong", the expression "to go to Hong Kong" means in Korean slang language "to orgasm" lol.

💜 I thought the same too.😅 it’s funny how acronyms in different parts of the world means different things. Even hearing them say I/me (Naega) in the beginning was awkward(first getting into kpop). My fave is watching new reactors - especially African/Americans watching “fake love” for the first time( one line sounded like “n**** on the roof)- they all get so shocked until they watch lyric videos or turn on subtitles . Once you step back and drop your preconceived notions and take time to learn the lyrics- you’ll know…what we think we hear is often not what is meant or said) PS. STD is an old term, they change it to the PC way STI - sexually transmitted infection

Also when he say a to the u to the g to the std he is spelling August D. It comes from SUGA back ward and D town where he from and his all band name.
