When the debenture issuing company create a reserve for the process of redemption of debentures then it is known as Debentures Redemption Investment. As transfer of amount (profits) to the DRR Profit and Loss Appropriation Account reduces the amount of profit available for distribution of dividend. This is for protecting investors from the possibility of a company defaulting.

ശരിക്കും പുതിയ റൂൾ അനുസരിച്ചു DRR മറ്റേണ്ടതു 10% ആണെങ്കിലും മതി.. ഔട്ട്‌ of capital ആണെങ്കിലും 10%എങ്കിലും minimum മാറ്റുന്നത് ആണ് ശരി

: (a) As per Rule 18(7) of the Companies (Share Capital and Debentures), Rules 2014, a company can redeem its debentures maximum upto 75% of face value of debentures out of capital. So DRR for rest 25% (10% as per new rules )has been created out of surplus. So better transfer minimum 10% to DRR account,.

Redemption out profit ഇൽ ആണ് DRR വരുന്നത്.. ചിലപ്പോൾ ഔട്ട്‌ of ക്യാപിറ്റൽ വരുമ്പോഴും drr ലേക്ക് തുക നീക്കി വെക്കാറുണ്ട്.. കൂടുതൽ explanation ഞാൻ താഴെ മറ്റൊരു കമന്റിൽ കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്..

So DRR for rest 25% has been created out of surplus. ഈ ഒരു റൂൾ ഉണ്ട്‌.. അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ redemption out of capital ആണെങ്കിലും DRR ലേക്ക് തുക മാറ്റാറുണ്ട്.. ചിലപ്പോൾ ഈ റൂൾ പരിഗണിക്കാതെ തന്നെ മുഴുവൻ out of ക്യാപിറ്റൽ ആയും textukalil ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. നമുക്ക് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നത് ഈ റൂൾ foot note ആയി കൊടുത്ത് drr ലേക്ക് തുക മാറ്റി വെച്ചു ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത്..

According to the guidelines of SEBI and Companies Act, it is compulsory to create a Debenture Redemption Reserve (DRR) by an amount equal to 10% (Budget announcements for 2019-20 by Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister it was reduced from 25% to 10% ) of the face value of debentures before starting redemption. So, while solving problems , you may transfer 10% of the face value of debentures to DRR account instead of 25%. Visit Corporate accounting play list in this channel for more classes.
