Pinkerton is a good album and I like it more than Blue. Blue is way too clean cut and poppy for me personally and some of the songs are massively overplayed. I prefer Pinkerton's heavier sound and more emotionally charged music/lyrics. I don't think Blue is "objectively" better. It's definitely subjective. There is a strong argument for either album.

Public awareness should be taken into account for this type of list. Unfortunately, nonmusic fans have never heard of gybe or death grips. And even if we consider them to be of slightly inferior quality, it doesn't overturn the fact that Michael Jackson's Thriller is the best-selling album in the world, so it should be placed high on this list.
