Redcat Lowriders NEW Aluminum Scale Look Shocks by Redcat Racing

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Twisting the plastic mount at the axle when 3 wheeling is a design flaw that needs to be addressed before I can recommend these shocks, as they are now its a firm pass.

Right on bro I do agree with you on everything you’re sayn right on point !!! Same my self I have a few videos but I also do talk about the bad side n good side of the redcat Lowrider also on some parts , we do spend lots of money buying all this products without getting anything for free or promoting em even if the don’t work or perform like the supposed to !!! O had Oder 3 sets of the shocks I had only hooked up a pair of em but I do have a metal servo horn like the blue ones you got !!! It performs ok but I haven’t put em to the test on the streets sence I used mines to play around I seen a few flaws on em on the front they kind of rub on the a arms they thick also in the back I had to do some grinding on my chassis to be able to have free space !!! Is just small details that it can be fixed from redcat cat but I don’t know why they don’t do it before we all spend money on something that later we goin to put em to the side !! Is like waisting money 😰😰but I’m glad you here to show sence you been in the RC game for years I only got in to it 2 years ago lol so having you it helps me seen your videos specially because I don’t spend much time on face book !!!

I was waiting for this video after all the FB debacle. I understandably agree your view on this. It's unfortunate it passed QC and all of that. RedCat sent a fix for the cambers a long time ago, I wonder if it's salvagable enough to engineer a fix like redesigning the cap mount somehow? Thank you for your honesty. This is why I love your channel and I hope your channel blows up!

I saw these shocked on the redcar channel so I went ahead and bought them so they won't sell out like the Jevries lowrider wheels and tire combos. I haven't installed the shocks yet because I'm currently working on changing the whole frame and chassis.

  • @sweendog1969

i thought of making a spacer for inside where the shock original sits and then putting the shock on the outside of the shock mount with a titanium bolt running through it all with a nut.

i am new to these rc low riders and i got the same shocks you had for my monte carlo. while installing the shocks for the front, apparently it won’t fit in the monte carlo since the shocks are too long. do i buy another set of shocks like the one you showed at 2:19 or should i buy parts that’s compatible with these shocks? what shocks should i get for the monte carlo? i honestly dont know what to do but i’m trying to learn as i go. please help!

Could u install the top of the rear shocks to the inside of the servo horn instead of the outside to minimize flex? Would like to know if it makes any difference before buying aftermarket shocks for my sixty four

I know this is an older video, but I just got my sixty four and was wanting to mod it. I was considering getting these shocks. Do you think I can just change the rod ends and the issue is fixed? To me that's where the problem is. Try it out and let us viewers know...👍🏽

Not sure about the top caps but could the lower ends be changed out for ends that would allow better articulation? The stock ends looks very bulky. I just got my 59 and plan to avoid these but just tryin to think of a idea for those who already bought them.

That was my first thought too, just use our wpl rod ends, but the shock shaft is m2.5 n all our rod ends are m3 :/ The issue here is the 2mm hardware for shocks. The kit runs m2 and had to design the upgrade (that youre right is far too fat out of scale) for m2 Finna say when they need v2 these chassis upgrade them on at least m2.5 hardware and should of used an m3 rod in the keast inside the shock.

I'm still reviewing vids to see what migjt be best for setup i want to accomplish . . Not wanting a competition hopper, but want that scale look and bounce among functionality that doesn't hinder performance ..

@@NorthSideCustomRC well, the gimick behind it is being able to change internal springs for bounce and weight control... and im thinking that is mostly important on the front bounce. You said the fronts work fine .. so its not a total loss i suppose.
