That’s awesome man! The first few times you wear them you’ll have to break them in, but after a few wears they’ll feel like a second skin.

I like the Iron Ranger with a wedge sole.

Copper Rough and Tough is such a great leather. It has so much character. I have two pairs of Blacksmith 3343s and I have got the second pair for the weekends. I did so because the Copper Rough and Tough does change color dramatically when conditioned. And I work in construction so I have to condition and clean my work boots frequently. So the work pair is basically a smooth dark brown now. I will say this though, they are really comfortable and they have lasted two years (with many more to come). For that price range Red Wing makes the best boots in the world imo.

Agreed, the copper rough and tough is a really nice leather. Cool to hear these boots are being used in the construction world too. And totally agree for the value. Boots comparable in price don’t always have the same longevity.

Copper rough and tough is more popular than amber harness, at least from what I've noticed. Most rangers I see out and about are r&t. I have both and seem to wear the amber harness more. Nice video.

It's important to wear them in rotation, always one day to get dry and using wooden shoe trees. That makes them last even more longer and they don't look like clown shoes so much. Greetings from germany!

I have a few pair of custom boots from the companies in Washington State but always go to the Iron Rangers . I’m always wearing either the amber harness or the copper rough n tuff. Love these boots

I’ve been wanting to try custom, like Brian the Bootmaker if you’re familiar. Maybe on a pair of engineer boots. But yes…these Red Wings are extraordinary.

I have the IR 8111 over a good year & a half. I did have to get insoles for them, I use rd slim fit & the insoles held up. I’m from MN so it’s easy to go find these at the nearest branch. I love them & 1 of the best thing I purchased.

I just don't see the " clown shoe " thing. Shiny DM's look more like that. Anyway enjoy your boots. I got a pair, they're fantastic.

The toe seems bulbous to some. I like it though. No mistaking it for a dress boot.

Yes there’s a metal shank inside that provides support. Really comfortable and only more comfortable over time.

idsay if the toe gets too shiny that changes the look towards old circus shoe i use golden mink oil by fiebings and only only use that and they become amazing deep redwine 🙏

Did you go 1 full size down or just half?

Half. I’m a 9.5 in virtually everything. But when I went to try them on at the Red Wing store the 9s actually fit better than the 9.5s!
