Henry NEVER shoved Alex. They were fighting over the hankerchief and Alex lost his grip, then his balance and he fell back onto the cake.

21:14 She actually DID make a slideshow about Alex dating Henry. Her main concern was if he was using government funds to go visit him (no), and taking him off her campaign.

As a gay man I absolutely adore this film, its such a feel good film, it’s like a warm hug.

I really liked the subtle ‘Pride & Prejudice’ vibe throughout the movie.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes.

Loved the book and loved the movie as well (watched it and unhealthy amount of time since it was released!)🥰 we need more movies like this, with a nice and non toxic love story and with a respectful and non fetishized queer representation! 💖🏳️‍🌈

I love this movie!!! I have watched it 4 times in 1 day and I cannot stop. The book and the movie are great. The chemistry between Nick and Taylor is off the charts!!! I laughed, I cried. Everytime I watch it I see more details and nuances that I missed. The love making scene was perfection!!! Never seen anything like that before. ❤ I have now seen it 14 times! It just gets better and better!!! ❤❤❤

Some of my most favorite movies (Wizard of Oz, It's a Wonderful Life) only did so-so when first released. It was only through time and repetitive viewings that we realize what masterpieces they are. Surprisingly, this movie seems to have sprung out of the gate with a giant following (helps there was such a good book). Okay, enough chit-chat, now let me watch it AGAIN!

Yeah, that amazes me too. I was a teary eyed mess every 5 minutes while watching this movie. I’ve seen several reactors who are just smiling and making jokes throughout. WTH! Guess I’m a big cry baby. 😢

I am addicted to this movie.

Nicholas deserve the oscar in my oppinion.

Nothing will prepare you for this movie. It’s moving, it’s steamy and it’s funny. The leads have impeccable chemistry. Also f**k Amazon Prime Vidéo for not renewing ‘A League of Their Own’. We should have more Queer safe spaces in the media.

As far as I remember from the book, she's from a small rural town in Texas. She is described as very Southern with an accent.

Actually it was two, Cornbread & Stuffing, and in the book, there was a bit more about he was sort of terrified of these avian dinosaurs, even though they were caged. (He remembered Jurassic Park too much.) But I am glad they concentrated on the relationship more.

It was pretty campy but I enjoyed it overall.

While it’s a cute movie I have to say the more I watch these reactions the more I cringe at Alex’s acting. It’s very overly dramatic and hallmarky at some parts. I find Henry’s acting to feel much more natural and it doesn’t feel like forced line delivery. im not that much of a fan of Alex’s character really either. He’s very pushy despite Henry constantly saying he’s not ready for the stress being public will cause in his life and potentially cause long term destruction in his family relationships. Alex was lucky to have an accepting family but his partner didn’t and he wasn’t respectful of that he only advocates for what he wanted.

Tim, I got confused by the title. I thought you were reacting to the Three Colours trilogy: Blue, White, and Red from the early 90s. They're a trilogy of French-Polish films named after the colors of the French flag and what they represent. They're regarded as masterpieces, especially in regards to their cinematography. I hope you can watch and react to those - it's about time somebody did.

Red, White and Blue are the colors in the American flag. Royal Blue is a color that was invented for a British Queen named Queen Charlotte and has been associated with royalty ever since. Thus the title Red, White and Royal Blue.

Terms come and go. I see more and more people using "queer" as an all-inclusive term as the "alphabet soup" seems to keep growing. When I was growing up, the New York Times would not use the word "gay" but only "homosexual" to make it sound medical, like a disease. (By the way, this one meaning of "gay" is from a contraction of "risque." During the Revolution, the British called the Americans "Yankee" as insult, from the song "Yankee Doodle Dandy," which was then adopted as a positive name (unless you were from the South).
