So, I'm Filipino. And when you live in the Philippines, sometimes you hear I Have Nothing more often than you hear the national anthem. It can get old. I fucking wept, same as you, first time I heard Wendy sing it. Do you know how good you have to be to make a Filipino hear a Whitney Houston song in a brand new light? Unbelievable.

There are some good vocalists out there, but honestly, there isn't another girl out of the entire 3rd and 4th gen of Kpop that's in Wendy's league. She was genuinely born to sing.

We all know Wendy has the vocals, but her true power is the ability to convey the emotion of the song.

Wendy is one of the biggest and best voices that Kpop has, I'm also moved seeing the magnificent voice she has hahaha

Exactly ! We can see ourselves in other's reactions especially the ones similar to what we felt :)

Lots of idol vocalists have amazing voices and range, some can or can’t convey and evoke emotion with it. And some have amazing technique, some are lacking. Wendy mastered it all though like no one else in the industry. I recommend watching her “Fine” cover on song stealer and more recently “everybody hurts sometimes”, i thought I heard it all until I saw those performances

Thanks for your reaction, i got teary watching you 😅. Wendy is really something, like she’s really at the top. And yes you got to watch her duet with John Legend and with Ricky Martin as well. Another vocal showcase by Wendy is when she sang “Fine” in song stealer.. her range there is insane 🔥. She also recently performed ALL tracks in Wish You Hell album with a band if you want to see it as well.. it’s so good.

Imo I dont think theres a better kpop vocalist, past or present than Wendy. Its been a while since she catched up to and surpassed Taeyeon, and shes still improving everyday and making it hard even for phenomonally talented young singers like Lily to catch up to. Shes technically proficient in almost all fronts, has superior range (both low and higher registers) and control, and is also a power belter similar to the likes of Ailee, Hyolyn, Solar and Wheein. There may be singers better than her in specific areas,, but none come close to the absolute complete package she is
