As a British man I have to say baseball is the best sport under heaven that comeback from the cubs yesterday was epic.. I loved it wow…. I love this game

I never, ever understand why an outfielder coming in towards the ball doesn’t call off the infielder in these type of plays. Make the easy catch, not the showreel running backwards catch. And if you need to throw to the plate, the outfielder has the momentum.

Damn it.. rough was to lose. Swanson shouldn't have been the one going after that one

@@Alemaniaturquia duran was a third of the way down the baseline when the catch was about to be made, which was a mistake since he would've had to tag up if it was caught, and certainly would not have made it home in time.

Fenway left field is very strange they were playing O’Neil deep. So Swanson was the only one who could make the play and that wasn’t an easy one. Good game though

Baseball is crazy

As someone who has watched hundreds of Cubs games, I saw them doing the Bad News Cubs thing in the bottom of the First, and so I just skipped to the last inning to see how they would lose. I was not disappointed.

Cubs miss a fly out to lose a game, where have we seen that one before?🤔

This one is on the front office. We don't have a closer. Nobody can handle the pressure of a 9th inning tie game on the Cubs bullpen. It's been proved again & again in the last seasons.

We have great overall pitching both starting and in the pen but why the heck does it feel like every Houck start the bullpen just mails it in.....

I think we all may expect someone of Swansons stature to catch that ball. Although i still think he isn’t the one who should’ve ran after it

Wow we lost Wicks now? Brutal. Overall hard fought match. tough to see the gold glove middle infield give that game away at a time when we really need the healthy starters to step up

@@curtiskent3993 Duran should've been ready to tag. If it's dropped he'd have scored easily even if still on the base and pretty good chance he scores if caught. If he was tagging up, Cubs best chance would probably be for Swanson to catch and then flip the ball to Happ to fire home with momentum, which would be a cool play.

@@addisonfrance My point is that if someone is attempting to make an incredibly difficult, low percentage catch, you can't give them an error for trying lol. You give errors for plays that players are expected to regularly make. You don't give them errors for circus catch attempts over the back shoulder halfway into the outfield.

Red Sox have been injured all season. Story out for the year. Casas out for 2 months. Multiple pitchers out like Pivetta, Whitlock, and Liam Hendricks. Devers and O'Neil just came back from being out for almost 2 weeks. And how can you not call this a fair series win, when the Sox won 17-0 the second game.

Even if he catches it, which is really a 50/50 ball for a shortstop running halfway into left field trying to make an over the shoulder sliding catch, the cubs still would’ve lost if the Sox played by the fundamentals you learn when you’re in T-ball.
