I agree that sometimes things should remain in their original state . The one thing is ; doing a remake can be a sign of respect or homage for the original and an honor for the actors etc to be a part of . Legendary . We see this with 90% of Disney and Mainstream Hollywood garbage - they have altered the original idea to fit the cultural narrative of what they are trying to pass off as morality . Bad .

You pretty much nailed it, about the amoral fiber being spread on TV and Film by Disney and other Hollyweird productions.

Excellent movie… I’ve been watching a lot of westerns the last couple of months and this would be in my top five for sure! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I have always enjoyed James Arness's acting, I just wish that he was riding a Buckskin horse like he rides on "Gunsmoke", that's the kind of horse that I just automatically associate with him.

Your right I've seen both movies. But I find it really hard not to like the John wain the best. and all good actors in both movies.

1948. Arness played a comparable role to John Wayne. Boxleitner too. Great western story.

Red river is from 1948. in1952 was the Broadway stage version with live cattle in the theater.

James Arness didn’t have the meanness the Duke had in the original. Too soft.

No me sirve que los canales pasen películas 😔 en inglés u otros idiomas, además es pésima la subtitulación de estás al castellano. Definitivamente no nos sirve a los de habla hispana que no sabemos Inglés. Desde Chile 🇨🇱🌎 saludos
