Reading Scar Tissue *completely* redefined every one of their albums for me..

Amazing. This version is so much better without the horns

sounds basically the same as the final album version, just missing some overdubs, sounds really nice stripped down (like when they - used to - play it live)

This is awesome! I actually like this better than the finished recording that went onto Mother’s Milk. The final album could have something like three or four guitar tracks, noisy distortion and a ridiculously busy horn section.As much as I love the album cut, I still like this one better because it’s a bit closer to the idea of four guys in a room kicking @$$ together.😊

Mother’s Milk has to be one of THE biggest missed opportunities in guitar history. Just compare the amazing live version of Sexy Mexican Maid that was played on Night Music with the overly dubbed abortion on the album. It’s an absolute tragedy John’s incredible guitar lines were so deeply buried by all the idiotic tracking on that album.

This version is wayyyy better than the album version. Better without the horns, I think they could have even stripped those layered guitars off also, ‘space is king’ but should have left some more space on the track! Still really like this version 🙏🫡
