The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Another one of my greatest influences, on every level. From some deeply personal, otherworldly songwriting, to shots in the dark, Anthony Kiedis' influence on myself and so many other songwriters can't go without notice. Flea's influence however, goes far beyond his relentless, powerful bass lines. It's his deep and true love of music that I relate to more than anything. From Parliament Funkadelic to Coltrane, there's a fountain of music that will always make me cry. Speaking of rhythm and foundation. Chad Smith is a beast in his own right. Not dissimilar to Charlie Watts, he's been the heartbeat of the band for so long. He's the musician everyone wishes to be underneath it all. Consistent and always great. And, well, last but certainly not least, one of the greatest guitarists of all time, one of my greatest influences as a musician and a songwriter and, and absolute melodic genius who, together with Flea creates architecture in music, John Frusciante. I love them all and am always, beyond grateful to them.
