Me too, my favourite is the one in Slane Castle but this one is definitely very close to be the most loved too

I've been a fan since I was 13 and used to spend hours watching every live version of their songs I could find on youtube, in awe of how no 2 performances were the same. this show was the first time I saw them live with Frusciante and finally seeing him do a Californication solo + his and Flea's pre-song jam was THE dream come true moment for me. I love and appreciate Josh so much, but the way John and Flea click is unparalleled, and the magic is really exemplified in Californication. Anyway, thank you for sharing these videos!!

We are finding many videos made by fans during the 2022 Tour. This is one of the very best. Excellent image and sound quality.

RHCP has been my favorite band since I was 16 years old. I'm 34 now and I just finally got a chance to see them with the true 4-piece. John Frusciante has influenced me more than any other guitarist, and to see the band play such an amazing performance, in our home state of California, was a night I will never forget. Watching this video made me incredibly emotional thinking of that night. Thank you for capturing this beautiful performance and for helping me relive the bliss for a short moment.

It made me cry, too. I saw them in SF (well... SF area... they played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA), and it was one of the best nights of my life. I just started tearing up typing this to you. Haha!

Never heard the original version of the guitar solo of this song since 2000.. 2023, still I did not..that's why I keep listening 🤘

I've seen the Chili Peppers before, but I saw them with Josh. It was a great regret of mine that I never saw them with John and it was a dream should he ever come back that I would go see them. Just bought tickets for the Tampa show on Thursday. Can't wait. John looks like he's having more fun out there than ever before.

I noticed this, too. He doesn't look as much like an older version of 1998+ John, he more so just looks like an older version of the John he was up until he first left the band. There are times when he'll make a certain face or look in a certain way and I get flashbacks to 1990.

I love that they always jam. How many bands to that anymore nowadays?

@@iwishic0uldw1n24 It was a silly answer to an impossible question. There are over 4,000 cities in the world with over 100,000 people in each one. There would be SO many bands in every one of them, even just the biggest 50 cities alone. Then there are all the smaller cities/towns too. Every rock band I've ever known or been in or around spends their time jamming. Thats what rock bands do. Its not like an orchestra where you get sheet music and play whats on the page.

I was in the pit and the people got real aggressive with me and even carried me over the barrier and handed me to security lol. It was unreal. People don't know how to rock!!! He's at probably his all-time best this year, where have you been? I love the guy, but he could barely carry a tune on stage for almost 40 years. There are multiple performances from over the years where he's been almost completely flat or sharp throughout the whole thing. The fact that he sounds like 90% in tune here is a miracle. And it's been that way the whole tour. I really couldn't ask for more from him.
