Red Faction Guerilla: The Most Destructive Game Ever

Released in 2009 Red Faction Guerilla set out to revive the dormant Red Faction franchise seven years after the release of Red Faction 2. Since the first game the series had an emphasis on destructible environments. Guerilla ushered in the next generation of the proprietary GeoMod engine and brought about the most intricate building tear downs we'd ever seen in video games. Incorporating the trend of modern open world design with the DNA of the franchise was a winning formula that brought the game positive critical and fan reception. 14 years since the initial release of the game I was having a bit of nostalgia and to do a make a Red Faction Guerilla Retrospective.

As the others have said, this video totally deserves more attention. Hopefully it'll come with your recent influx of exposure. I remember hearing about this game when I was younger, and I always wanted to play it. Great video!
Goddamn, 378 views on this video and 0 comments is a crime, you and your channel are SOOOO underrated. YT needs more channels like this bringing back that late 00s early 2010s goodness with such quality videos and commentary. I'm watching all of your videos right now, and really cant wait for the next Crysis, Lords of Shadow 2, Fall of Cybertron and hopefully Armaggedon. Keep up this awesome work man.

I appreciate it! I really try and improve each new video. I was sad this Red Faction one didn't much love when it dropped. However I make these videos not only for others, but myself too! I love revisiting these old titles and getting a chance to research them more in-depth. The next video is on Crysis 2 after that I will probably be making a video on Pokemon Black and White (but no guarantees it'll be the next one after C2).

@@VirtualLegacy I Love revisiting these older titles as well, or because i didn't play them, or to just scratch a nostalgic itch and remember a simpler time. This video especially bc i just finished Armaggedon and loved it, probably gonna grab Guerrila afterwards. As i said, keep up with the awesome work, i cant wait to see what comes next from you.

You have to give the developers credit for keeping the multiplayer in the remaster. Sure it’s dead but we’ll always have the option to party up and experience it. Unlike any of the Crysis remasters.
