Well your living up to the channel name you failed this review. You did not eve cover what optics fit on the pistol.

You did not talk about the optional plate you can put on to mount the site. They have that in their kit now. It might make a difference for a mounting a full-size red dot sight

I saw someone say they're plastic and don't hold zero ?

From reddit: " I removed the slide and from the inside find the 4 holes where the plate is. 2 holes go straight through and 2 are blocked by the plate. I sent a smaller Allen wrench through one of those holes and with a rubber mallet was able to tap on the backside of the plate popping it up and out. Had to use a little force but it came out relatively easy and left no marks"

My new Canik ammo in chamber indicator has red dots painted on each side in small divots so paint won't wear off.

One thing you can do: flip the removable plate upside down. Reinstall it and pic mounts on the red dots clamp right on. You lost access to the iron sights, but the angles are correct and the slightly too long site sits on top of the slide. No probs on my gun. Looking forward to replacing at some point with a red dot that sits flush, but until then.......

Ade Advanced Optics 2021 RD3-009D Crusader Reflex Red Dot Sight. This Red Dot will fit the Canik tp9 Elite SC perfectly the new version of this red dot has a cut out at the back to make it fit into the Optics cut out. The Shield reflex mini Red Dot comes in at $450 it's crazy to get a site that's more expensive than a gun I'm not going to put a $450 sight on a $300 pistol you can get this ADE for under $100 bucks.

Yep, I got the TP9SFX when it was released in 2017. Bought a $30 ADE Red Dot just to see if I'd like it.. Well, the rear wouldn't seat down into the slide cut, even on the supplied plate.. I trimmed a few MM off off the sight & she's still rocking! Same battery, same initial zero, I've removed & remounted it numerous times & I've got mine zero'd at 50y for coyotes & Hogs on my property. Smoked many with it. It'll punch out a bullseye target at 30y easily. The Canik plates sit low even on the TP9SFX. The plates are not flush with the top of the slide. So check with your Optics Manufacturer & see if it'll clear the top of the slide. Again, the plates sit down inside the top of the slide, not flush with the top.

There is a plate in the box that you install when you remove that top piece. If you take the slide off, then you can push the top plate off from the inside without prying on it. You need to get your $hit straight before you start posting reviews and putting bad info on here.

I mounted the plate upside down and used it as a rail mount. No co-witness but now you some more options.

So would you be able to mount a swampfox kingslayer instead of being limited to only the sentenial?

A lot of videos about the Canik's with the slide cover plates say the cover plate is hard to get off isn't in the least bit true. Remove the plate screws then remove the slide from the weapon. Turn the slide upside down. There's 2 additional holes for the larger screws that hold your red dot to the slide. Take the included torx tool you used to remove the covers screws insert into one of the big holes(it will be touching the bottom of the cover) tap lightly and the cover will pop right off. Sticking a tool in sideways to pry it off is a good way to scratch the gun. You can find the CANIK MECANIK M01 RED DOT for 170 bucks or less. It's got a lot of great reviews and the auto dim/brightness is better than than Holosun.

I think that the dovetail is the way it is so that you can adjust it for windage. Just a guess.

The chamber round indicator is marked with red mark and if It's to dirty to work you need to learn how to clean a gun

Any updates on what dots will fit? I know the Holosun 407K and 507K will with a bit of easy modification to the plastic plate. Shield RMSc and Sig Romeo Zero will also fit with no modifications. This is the extent of the list I have. If anyone else can confirm/deny/or add to this list please let me know! :)

I thought you were actually going to tell all the red dots that were going to fit. Also my loaded indicator has red on the insides you can see when it’s loaded

The allen head screw is not there to remove the rear sight. It is there to adjust the windage of the sight.

Excellent pistol. I tore the 10 ring a new asshole with irons. I did get a bad 12 round mag but century sent me a new one :D now just trying to see what red dot i want

@@rodmyers5187 You have to grind off the rear recoil lugs and grind the front two down a little in order to make the 407k/507k fit

Easiest way, pop off the slide and push up from under.

So it should be called "What doesn't fit" rather than "What does fit".

what are the screw dimensions?

What size torque wrench should I use to do this cuz I tried using the little small screwdriver tool that came at my swamp Fox and had no luck. I even broke wheeler punch trying it.

Red paint isn’t necessary at all for a loaded chamber indicator. It popping up is the whole point of the loaded chamber indicator

I got my Canik tp9 elite sc used and it didn't come with a mounting plate. Does anyone know where I can get one> Or which ones are compatible? Please help.

Yeah the 507k is micro reflex footprint, that's what i'm using these days on mine....I love it, the green dot is very nice...thanks for watching.

I cheated with mine: mostly because the guy at the gun shop said it would fit. I ended up with a holosun that was a tad too long. So I flipped my plate upside down and essentially made a rail for it to slide on to. Took a bit to get it zero'd. Used a chamber laser to save on ammo consumption

Might be a dumb question but where in the sight should your dot be? Should the dot be lined up as if it was an iron sight so to say?

@@bosshogg4255 I'm clearly not a gun expert, so I can't answer that question. But that was why I used a laser pointer in the chamber. Figured if sight lined up with the laser, it was zeroed. In any case, my situation has fixed itself. I found an SFX at the same pawn shop later, and traded my SC. Now the Holosun fits proper and all I need to do for cowitness is get suppressor height sights. Although, when I went to qualify for my Guard Card, I only missed 3 shots (which I will put under operator error)

I think the loaded chamber indicator is there for stupid import reasons

Was thinking about buying thanks for clarifying it's a no go for me

It's a sub compact not a compact so but the gun with the optic already on the gun $599

On mine the indicator is red

Crimson Trace TS-1550 should fit $150

This video is wrong or not updated, few others red dots will fit like the Romeo Zero or the ADE spike....just look for the correct info on KZread and you will find it.

Don't you have to mount the plate before the sight, then you should be able to mount the sight.

Hi David, not on this model. The plates for the TP9SFX for example are at least 5mm tall...this is just thin plastic and because it's meant to be co-witnessed with the iron sights they don't want a tall mounting plate, just the red dot right to the gun. I'm talking with Shield to get some of their red dots to show everyone what the deal is. Thanks for watching

In the canik forums, they say the romeo 0 will work on the sc. Optics planet has them for $199. That's alot cheaper than the shield rms & I would trust sig optics alot more than the j point or shield rms.

@@cliffordmurdock2407 yeah I'm not paying $450 for shield they got terrible reviews too everyone says the lens cracked after a few hundred rounds. They use some type of weak polymer resin for the lense.

The Romeo zero fits on it.

yeah me too, but they listened to a lot of feedback I think and set it up for co-witness with the sights, so I can see why they did this....But with really no clear text or docs out there stating what red dot brands and models fit, was really poor on Canik and Century Arms part. I'm talking with Shield right now about getting some of their red dots to review with this gun and I when I first contacted them, they said they didn't even know which of their models fit, and prompted them to schedule a meeting with Canik over in their neck of the woods to figure it out...Problem is the industry is not communicating to make some standards with how fast red dots are becoming standard equipment.... Yeah I don't care for it ither...On my Taurus pt111 I took it off because it just got so gummed up from shooting if I didn't clean it really good. I'll prob remove this one at some point after I shoot some more uspsa matches with it to see how it does with weekly range practice and then a weekend match. Thanks for watch ChefJimmy

Canik customer service told me to take the slide off turn it upside down put a punch in there and tap it out.

if you're talking about removing the red dot cover, yes, that is one way to do it. The punch would have to be very a small diameter to pass through the holes that the red dot screws screw into.

From other videos I've seen, the Shield Micro Dots will work... but they run about $400 a piece... That's about the price of the gun... May need to consider other options if you really want a red dot on it.

You can get a crimson trace red dot for this for $175 or less. Auto on, auto dimming, polymer body and glass lens. 5 or 3.5 moa dot. You're welcome.

@@issashelbygt5005 take the slide off hopefully you have a small tool which will fit in the screw hole fuck that gently shit that dont work i place my punch tool on the concrete and guided it in the screw hole 1 by 1 and it worked after about twice each hole goodluck
