There are multiple ways a croc and a gator is different one is the snouts one is longer than the other the other, is the size one is longer and stronger than the other and could swallow a man whole sometimes and of course the salt and fresh water part is a difference but there are fresh and saltwater versions of both of them so that’s debatable

@@Unknown_definitely Both alligators and crocodiles are capable of killing and eating humans with ease. It is important to note that only crocodiles have saltwater and freshwater variants. Alligators are unable to live in saltwater due to the lack of a salt gland. Crocodiles are generally more aggressive than alligators. The snout of a crocodile is the shape of a V, whereas the snout of and alligator is closer to the shape of a U. Crocodiles also do not have holes in the top of their mouth to sheath their teeth, so both the top and bottom layers of teeth show (interlocked) when their mouth is closed whereas an alligator does have those wholes so they have an overbite and you can only see their top row of teeth when their mouths are shut. Furthermore a crocodile has on average 60 teeth whereas an alligator has 80. Although both alligators and crocodiles come from the order of crocodilia, alligators are part of the alligatoridae family and crocodiles are from the crocodylidae. @@MDG509_ I am autistic and crocodilians are one of my special interests. I did a lot of searches on the differences between crocodiles and alligators (and their individual traits) which lead my to find more information on other crocodilians such as caimans (mainly black caiman [melanosuchus niger] and spectacled caiman [caiman crocodilus]) and gharials. Gharial fun fact, gharials were named after an Indian pot called a ghara because the end of the gharial snout resembled the shape of the pot. I also follow accounts such as gatorboys_chris for alligator videos and information.

my time has come The difference between a croc and a gator is, crocs like drier climates, like africa, and has a long snout that narrows at the end. Gators prefer wet climates, like florida, and their snout is usually shorter and more blunt. I love gators, they just have this face, and a wide stance. Swamp puppy :>
