Brendan Fairclough had the most Rampagy of Rampage runs! The Battle Ship gap up top, the insane chute, and the canyon gap that no one dared to build in previous years. That team always builds some of the most aesthetic, natural, and gnarly lines! I really hope that the boys aren't too discouraged to come back next year!

Why would he go back? It’s clear and obvious that the judges don’t score the contest correctly. I love watching rampage and every rider out there is a winner for even attempting it but this year left a sour taste. Judges more interested in slope style rather than free ride.

Brendan totally deserved 1st or 2nd. His line is the epitome of what Rampage is or maybe was. TVS maybe 4th or 5th and that’s a big maybe. Beinve deserved much higher also even though they gave him almost every other award. Zink’s run was pretty impressive with the speed and style he carried throughout. Big respect to everyone who rode as it is all Gnarly but cmon a cave man, flip and a 3 gets scored higher🤷🏽

Brendog was the only run where if he failed to make the canyon or slipped off the battleship he would be dead. All the other runs, yes they would get injured and hobble off, but Bren would be 100% dead. He ran a proper freeride line perfectly, the rest apart from the canyon front flip were just running a smooth slopestyle event and the judges were marking slopestyle, not freeride. I think they held his score at 86 so they had room at the top for wriggle room, (very common in gymnastics), but I dont blame him for not doing a second run with that farsical score of 95, I mean WTF was that for.

Bienves 2nd run was amazing and Genons 2nd run was also great. Both scored low, so I guess unless you are Cam Zink, second runs just score lower. But then again Brendog NAILED his first AMAZING run and didn't even get a podium. And then Van Steenbergens rating was completely off, just because of the caveman drop. It is really hard to understand what the judges are doing.
