Pepsi came out with a dragonfruit flavor 8ish years ago and I really liked it so I bought a dragonfruit and it really does taste like nothing. I’m always excited to see what flavor companies go for when they choose dragonfruit and I enjoyed the Red Bull, reminded me of tropical candy.

Sometimes it is, I enjoy more than just a taste test where they disect the ingredients and what they did.

Just drank one of these things. Brought back a lot of memories because it tastes just like a St. Ides special brew.

I actually JUST did a review of this on my Snapchat! Lol. It’s actually not all that bad. Pretty good tartness as well as sweetness, and a really unique flavor. It doesn’t really taste much like regular dragonfruit but I do like it. Got my hands on NOS Turbo too, not bad but still just zero sugar NOS with upped caffeine content, aminos, and a clear color. HYPED FOR TOTALLY CAFFEINATED!!!

Its supposedly exclusive to a few stores for the rest of April and then released to all stores in May. But, yeah, you can get around the rules by going to Sonic. If they are nice enough, you can order a Red Bull slushie without the slushie and they just give you the can. Even better when its half price!

Like you caffeineman I tried dragon fruit for the first time a week ago and l agree it doesn’t have much flavor I had to eat a mouthful to get a Taste. Thanks for the review I’ll have to give it a try

I tried this today and I kinda like it. Probably more than the coconut berry. I am trying to think of the other nuanced flavors that they put out other than the original but I like it, even more than watermelon.

I too was disappointed a few months ago when I bought Dragonfruit to try. You're expecting this sweet, tart exotic fruit flavor. What you actually get is a cross between watermelon and kiwi that someone hit the delete button on for flavor.

April 26th it'll become available to all the other stores. Walmart and Maverick got it exclusively for a few weeks before everyone else. Dragon fruit reminds me a lot of the grapefruit summer edition that was released a few years back.

Dragon fruit test like little bit more watermelon with Kiwi 🥝 mix together. In my opinion and I love it 😀😍. So I will have to get myself the Redbull and see if it tastes like a Watermelon and a Kiwi combination. Like a DragonFruit does.

Red Bull uses different names for the same drinks depending on where the drink is located. Dragonfruit is common in the US so thats what they named it. Like you said, dragonfruit isnt really where you are so they bamed it cactus fruit. Cactus Fruit is the cousin of Dragonfruit so they named it that but both are the same flavor.

Dragon fruit has a watery subtle sweetness you need to wait about a week after purchasing one. There's the pink dragon fruit (pink inside) which I haven't had. And yellow dragon fruit. Yellow is the sweetest most flavor packed dragon fruit

Yeah, my store had 2 to choose from a red one and a green one. After a quick google search, this was the more common of the two. Apparently there are tons of different kinds of dragonfruit...and this same summer edition was released in the UK as Cactus Fruit .

Yeah, I heard they named it differently. Dragonfruit is actually the cousin of the cactus pear so Im sure they're the same drink named differently.

I tried it so i never have to buy it again, same goes for the tropical and the watermelon, there are just better option. Nothing beats the coconut version anyways, that one is absolutely legendary.

Awesome.....an afternoon CM video to keep me awake while working from home! CM you have to try Pitaya (a.k.a. yellow dragonfruit), it is exponentially tastier than the red dragonfruit you tried. You should also try real Lychee fruit too.

He tried a Vietnamese white, the red ones are sweeter and the yellow taste like honey or sugar so they are the sweetest. But most dragon fruit in stores are picked and shipped when the ripening starts but only the skin ripens while the inside doesn’t change much and get any sweeter

Red Bull is the #1 energy drink company for a reason. They know how to get the product into peoples hands! Monster, too many board meetings. Too many new drinks to figure out where to sell them and what countries they should and shouldnt go to. Red Bull, small selection, everyone gets them! Simple. Monster, complicated.

@@CaffeineMan1 if they have light color and there's not too bad or if it's got like vegetable juice for coloring I can do that like alini u that breezeberry one was good but it uses vegetable juice for color now the other ones use like the red dye and stuff but I haven't cracked those open but if it's just light that's fine but when it's super dark like that I just don't like that food coloring crap just like how you don't like stevia

I doubt it. Between caffeine restrictions in other countries, a majority of their drinks are over the limit and shipping drinks that are so heavy is just far too costly.

It would be unlike Red Bull to make two different flavors that are so similar to each other, especially since they are known for renaming their drinks based on the popularity of the name where sold. And considering this is a limited edition Summer edition, gives it even a higher likelihood of it being the same drink.

Currently it’s a Walmart exclusive but if you have a a sonic near you they have a redbull dragonfruit slushie. You can order it without the slushie and they’ll just give you the can. Others have said they saw it at wawa and Safeway... but the official release to other stores is April 26.

@EriczHype Yeah, it is pretty much a similar fruit. Dragon fruit is actually a cousin of the cactus pear or cactus fruit. In different countries, different fruits are more dominant. In the US, a lot of people know what Dragonfruit is but not really cactus fruit. Im guessing in the UK, Cactus fruit might be more common than dragon fruit? In either case, Im certain they taste the same just named differently. Red Bull tends to do that with several of their US VS. Non-US drinks.

I know a few people who work for Red Bull and they had mentioned it to me before the release so I knew where to get it. But, more concrete evidence points to several press releases from Red Bull to beverage websites which have stated it. One of the top ones being Bevnet. Here is the press release that announced it. there is a different type of dragon fruit with an orange outside and green inside and it tastes stronger, so maybe red bull made there drink on that one.

I haven't really enjoyed very many Red Bull products, but I liked this one a lot. I get a bitter aftertaste when drinking some sugared energy drinks, and I didn't really notice it much with this one. Trying dragonfruit to compare the drink to the real thing was really interesting. Great vid!

Same drink. Different can. The can is just manufactured in a different facility, one in that actual country (there are several different factories that make the drinks and cans), so they can make the can with any words they want. They usually do this for the international versions. Arctic Berry here was called Frozen Berry elsewhere.

I range between 200mgs to 600mgs a day, usually hovering around the 400mgs mark. On days that I go over 400, I try to cut back the next day. I tend to cycle my caffeine as to not become tolerant to it. Thanks for asking! Hope you enjoy the channel! 👍

The standard supermarket dragonfruit is sadly the watermelon-like flavor (i.e., almost no flavor, but very refreshing and extremely good for you. Also a great fruit to help clear your stomach out). There are now like 40 types of dragonfruit, but there is a specific one you should be able to find pretty easily that dragonfruit flavoring tried to emulate. They are a strange cacti fruit, with a wide array of flavors and colors. Give me a second and I'll figure out the name of the one that tastes like berries.

They had 2 different ones at the store, a red one and green one, but saw that this was more common. After reading up on it, I saw how healthy there were but extremely surprised by the lack of flavor.

After trying 9 different Red bull flavors, (not all at once, geez) I only really liked the sugar free Pear, I'm not a fan of Red Bull (Don't hate me lol) I like Bang flavors, but politically choose not to purchase them (leaving politics out, we all have our own opinions, that's the freedom as Americans we have to support or not support who/what we like) I have to say I'm a Monster Ultra and a Reign fan. Got a Watermelon Warlord in the Fridge and had a White Gummy Bear earlier (I know, I think I said I probably wouldn't get it again, but was wanting something on the high sweetness level). Also if you like the RB Dragonfruit, Sonic Drive in, (fast food) has a Red Bull Dragonfruit Slush.

Yeah, I actually picked one up from there as well. Ordered the Red Bull slushie without the slushie😂

Yellow dragonfruit is a lot sweeter and flavorful

Well, yeah... I mean, come on. Who wouldnt use that excuse to eat some!

I dont know how this got passed the taste reviews. I am a huge Dragonfruit fan. This drink does not even taste close to it. Both me and my wife hated it. Usually they get close but this was so far off the mark I really dont know how this got approved. 🤷‍♂️

I mean, Im in a similar situation where I don't think this tastes anything like dragonfruit... but at the same time, if they just put water in a can, it would taste pretty close to dragonfruit. That dragonfruit I ate tasted like nothing. It was a very strange experience.

You know I have actually had the Vitamin Water Dragonfruit and was not a fan of it. It was a few years ago. They didnt have the XXX that I usually drink and the dragonfruit was on sale. Dragonfrit C or something. Yeah, ended up dumping it. That being said, don't overly recall what it tasted like, just not good.

@@CaffeineMan1 I like it. Also the one I sent the link to is the Zero Sugar one witch I think is newer, but could be wrong. I loved it. As a diabeitc I am always looking for zero sugar drinks. Having a huge problem now trying to find the new Pepsi Mango zero sugar. They keep advertising it yet can not find it anywhere in my area. I know you been through that lol.

This one was a pleasant surprise. It's an 8/10 for me.

Does youtube not tell you who liked your comment anymore? Because it just says someone liked your comment, instead of telling you who, if caffeineman hit like it don't say. Cause other people have like 9 likes, and I generally have just one like, is that because they don't tell your personally?? It just makes you feel bad if it just says one like, and the others are like 9 or 15 or 25 or 103 or whatever. Maybe i just have bad comments.

No, to the best of my knowledge it never tells you who liked a comment. It just keeps track of the number of likes. I know on other social medias, you can see who liked the post but KZread doesn't work the same way. And, just so you know, I just liked your comment!!! Whenever I reply to a comment, I'll always give it a like and heart.... well, unless its a mean comment... then it might get a dislike. 😂
