Red, the blood of angry men, Black, the dark of ages past.'' Before every great battle, there is always a rousing speech! Enjolras sings a solo about how this is the beginning of the revolution.
Les Misérables (2012) SYNOPSIS: After 19 years as a prisoner, Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) is freed by Javert (Russell Crowe), the officer in charge of the prison workforce. Valjean promptly breaks parole but later uses money from stolen silver to reinvent himself as a mayor and factory owner. Javert vows to bring Valjean back to prison. Eight years later, Valjean becomes the guardian of a child named Cosette after her mother's (Anne Hathaway) death, but Javert's relentless pursuit means that peace will be a long time coming.

Enjolras' absolute GLARE at Grantaire when he encourages Marius to sing ☠ "godDAMNIT grantaire"
Marius looks shook when he realizes noone ultimately cares about his lonely soul. Also, Aaron Tveit was one of few real highlights in this movie.

I kept observing Grantaire and he was intentionally trying to tease Enjolras the whole time after Marius revealed that he was in love. He kept giving glances to Enjolras. Was I the only one?

Definitely due to compression (when the volume exceeds a certain level, it gets brought down leaving that distorted noise).
