Sick too death of so called supporters calling Bamford a spastic. I'm disabled. I struggle with life. LEEDS UTD. Are a release for me. I love my club. Disabled is not a spastic. Bamford is certainly not a spastic. It's appalling

Waiting list of 20,000 for season tickets we need a 60,000 all seat stadium

My brother and I went to Leeds about five years ago from Dublin for a game against Bristol city and we couldn’t get tickets we were told it was sold out and the crowd that day was only 34,400 .nowadays the crowd is 37000 and it’s still impossible to get in.

I don't remember that particular match but there were times when there was an echo in the stadium because it was so empty. One game in particular that I remember was the Don Revie fundraiser. I was one of just 8000 that night after everything he did for the club.
55,000 with a view to being able to expand further
I’ve always thought Elland Road should be in at least the same bracket as St James’ Park/Stadium of Light for capacity. When you modernise you also start to become more attractive for Europa/Europa Conference finals, gigs, rugby league finals etc which will bring in more money.
Old trafford has a 74k sized stadium. 50k is the minimum we need, hopefully they leave space for further expansion.
Cant wait for the West Stand to be rebuilt. May get a season ticket then?? 55k would be my capacity
The money for the stadium expansion wont effect the transfer budget. It'll operate the same way as any private development does, raising capital through loans and external investment, and paid off in the long run with the money it generates. It's a completely seperate way of financing and doesn't effect the clubs books.
We could easy build a 90.000 state off the art stadium 🏟

I'd be disappointed if we only expanded to 50,000. Exactly with the Club itself saying 20,000 on the waiting list for season tickets. We have to be looking at upwards of 55,000 in my opinion.
I’ve been on the season ticket waitlist for over 10 years mate! 55-60k would be nice. Plus we can rent out the stadium for events, concerts - higher turnover, bigger budgets for transfers, especially on the new FFP model being introduced shortly.

Weeeeellllll the Hull win tonight has thrown the "Cat amongst the pigeons"....that means they are so close to the play-offs that the Hull vs Ipswich game becomes VERY important to them. That will be a fascinating game.
@kevincarey32
Ай бұрын
It only becomes fascinating for Hull....if Swansea get a positive result ( win or draw ) away at Norwich on Saturday afternoon....5 hours before the Hull v Ipswich game ko!!! If Norwich win....it's all over for Hull making the play offs... ( unless they beat Ipswich by 7 or more goals)......and if that happens...they won't give a f..k about helping us get promoted....and probably won't even ' turn up ' against Ipswich! So....in conclusion......come on Swansea!!!
I’m all for ground expansion but if the product on the pitch is crap it doesn’t mean nothing. Let’s get promoted first as well 👍🏻
It’s about time tbh elland road has been left stagnant for years up on years .. I’d do behind the goals like St James park . Generate a right atmosphere ive seen the plans to have a massive stand cross from the east stand it just looks weird . Can easily do 50-60 every k single week
@peterburry2014

Isn't there a road and houses directly behind the South Stand though?
So west ham can fill out a 60k stadium and we're a one city club , Leeds can fill out world breaking attendance .
Thank you Conor 👌👍 Either way you look at it, a club as big as we are we should most definitely have a bigger stadium, surely we must be able to fill it being a one city one club 👍👌 Should we expand or knock down & rebuild is another question 🤔 How do we modernise without losing the atmosphere & the character of the current stadium 😩😫🤔 We definitely haven't been able to use Jaidon Anthony more than we could have which is a real shame because he's a decent player 😩👍👌

We dont have the finances to rebuild. Yes it would be nice to have a shiny new stadium but the atmosphere and heritage will be lost. I would personally expand on the west stand, another 10k and then the south stand 2 or 3 years later
We could full 70k stadium easily
@kacemkhemiri1012
Ай бұрын
We could eventually fill 70k , with a few years in the epl
Interesting news about the stadium, agree that 50,000 would be a good capacity. My concerns with the 49ers is that they don't go down the stadium sponsorship route. An example of this model would be Leicester City changing its name to King Power Stadium. Jordan Anthony is a class player, I rate him highly and can understand how he hasn't be used when players are clearly tired and in need of a rest.
Stadium needs full rebuild to keep us moving forward.
leeds has the best kit. it is not close. cannot wait for new stuff
50 Thousand capacity is spot on at the moment.
I tell you how we balance the books , the rules are going to change for next year so Leeds will have more spending power.
Surely we have to be in the Premier league first before choosing a number.
Leeds City Council need to come board,a tramline is a must.Road upgrades around ER,the council stated 20 years ago a 60,000 stadium ia a no go.Iwould a bigger ground more the better, but councils being councils will not allow us to do what we want
60,000 seater would be great, there is a huge waiting list.
50k would be the next expansion for me. With further improvements in years to come. Up to 60k+ in the longer run. Yes we need to be in the Prem to do it. It’s fine as we are, challenging for promotion in Championship, to go up to 50k, but if we became a middling Champ side we’d be on smaller crowds. The 49ers should see us right once we’re up, their experience should see us in a good place financially and team-wise.
Cant see a capacity increase without prem football and if we dont go up this season we wont get back in a long time. With the players we will have to sell in the summer we wont be able to compete next season 🙈
50,000 until were back been an established premier League side again then expand by another 10,000 or so. Previously as when we were in the first established premier League clubs at over 40,000 we were in the top 6 or so in the size of the seating capacity obviously after relegation then years later having seats removed were not , I actually preferred how the ground was before the seat removal for boxes etc , so for me as soon as we're back start the stadium.
We easily fill a 50k ground regularly. I logged on at 12:30 for the 13:00 Southampton (member) sale. At 13:00 I was number 17,000 in the queue and I’ll bet not every member was logged on and that most of those logged on members were also buying for F&F. Tickets never get anywhere near going on general sale.
Isn't money spent on stadia/training grounds etc. Seperate to hitting PSR with signings of players and players wages. I'm pretty sure that's how Everton are still going ahead with their stadium
Stadiums are long lead time projects. The sooner we get started the better.
A lot of peripheral fans are “fair weather supporters.” If we’re not in the Premiership and playing attractive football then only the hardcore fans can go watch dire football. There’s so much riding on us going up. Come on Leeds, 2 more wins!!! Let’s go.
More capacity if standing allowed. Maybe 55k
55-60k possible 65k should be the capacity of Elland Road. They should start it this summer. It’s pointless leaving it for further down the line.
Summerville is that good, he would be fine playing on the right when its time to bring on the subs
We have 22k ST waiting list don't we? So minimum 55,000 in the prem IMO.
60'000. Leeds haven't even tapped into the Eastern market and I see loads of Chinese students wearing Leeds shirts. Using Sunderland as a comparison is redundant. Make it a 60'000 and charge less for tickets. It's a clear win win strategy that also creates more unity and good vibes.
Focus must be on Premier League, then a stadium expansion after that.
Ground expansion is good but seats must be close to the pitch and not like what West Ham did And obviously we must be established as a top flight side for it to work
Needs to be 55K
Not long ago we could barely get 25,000 in. We need to stabilise in the prem before we start to expand the ground

Membership is a joke, you pay near on £80 for the year and still can't get tickets
i think we should have a stadium with a capacity of 55k.
52,000
While they clean up the stadium can they clean up the roads and city. Council don't.
Don’t have to fill it week in week out - just need to sell the season tickets to those on the waiting list.
They'll probably start with 55k with expansion options in the future.
50k is perfect ,should keep the tourist fans out
50,000 with the existing, not fit for purpose ticket software! I don’t think so 😅
Another 20k would be sensible!
Yes the stadium needs expanding ' but we need a capacity no more than 50k I'd say more like stadium of light at Sunderland 47k we really don't do really big crowds ' look at our history crowd wise ' anything more than that would end up been a white elephant.
An bigger stadium would be used for allsorts of events bringing in money for the club
They will have done their homework but I think that 60 would be better. I imagine that they will build in the ability to expand again later. I trust them to get it right. Dan has not looked good for 2 games.
It's all well and good expanding it but then they just net off the first couple of rows and any rows near the away fans. It's a joke.
It’s too completely different revenue streams… ones for the club and ones for a stadium. Yes, of course they could be interrelated, but it’s not like it’s one bucket of money. Billionaires have a way of moving money around taking out loans using other peoples money. It will be fine.
We'll fill 60,000 easy lad
63k to top spurs would be nice
65K
Conner. Please stop being so arrogant. Your not the manager who actually has our best ever results. Just believe in Farke. He deserves our trust mate
Let's hope ffp doesn't bite us
50k is a good number
Not Even Bielsa as a record in one season, never mind two. Please give Farke a chance too prove himself mate
60K
55k at least
NFL raised the salary cap for this coming year indicating that NFL teams are still making money, hand over fist. Looked at another way, the Denver Broncos are willing to eat $98 million in dead cap money over the next two years to get rid of a player they traded multiple first round picks for. So for the 49ers to drop $50 million to expand Elland Road is a drop in the bucket for them. Better to strike while the iron is hot and they're flush with cash.
Wembley of the north 90k 👍
50k tp 60k
look at Evertons new stadium 52 000 😮 leedsUnited are bigger and are worthy of a 61 000 stadium
Anfield is the model to follow ... so it can be done in stages ... west stand extra tier behind existing seating... then the kop end... and ideally not affect existing seating during building. Farke wont use subs early because they havent played much because farke wont use early ......... Doesnt undertand the concept of fully using a squad and different players for different opposition
The egg came first...

Calgary calling Conor. 50000 is NOT big enough...go 60000...we will fill it plus corporate, reduce ticket prices a little too and make it the new Wembley of the North. The FA would use it for England, rugby, concerts...the demand is there, so go all in Leeds. I think Anthony is good and has been way under used. Now DJ is out...will he get minutes? Surprise package v QPR perhaps? That 60k should have the facility to further expand too, another 10,000....the demand is there so meet it Leeds and partner with Leeds City...get that tram built and regenerate the area...the future is bright, the future is white. Newcastle are expanding..looking at between 60-70,000, Man U are looking at 90-100,000 rebuild or new, Man City are going up to over 60,000, Chelsea looking at new of 60,000 +, Everton’s brand new stadium is 53,000 with the potential to go to over 60,000. Tottenham is 63,000, Arsenal is 61,000…..Leeds should be looking at, at least 55 - 60,000, it’s as simple as that. We have to develop to attract big name players cos the stadium you play in, will help attract top names and development work is long overdue. We are the 4th largest city in the whole of the Uk by population and a one team city so we would fill that ground guaranteed.

Conor as brilliant as you are, I do wish you would slow down your speech pattern and breathe pal lol
I would rather them spend on developing the team rather than the ground. Once we get up, I want us to stabilise our position...THEN develop accommodations. I have no problem with James being used as a Sub while he's not on form, but Joseph is essential against QPR or we'll not go Auto. Bamford will be controlled by QPR. Expanding the stadium won't affect the transfer budget, loans are taken to be paid off with the ROI over a very long time.
I can't directly respond to comments because KZread hates me but in response to whether Leeds would fill a 90000 seater stadium, I say yeah definitely! If the club lowered the ticket prices significantly to maybe 10, 15 pound per ticket and if the club were actually playing well or in the Premier League there is no doubt in my mind our fanbase fills that stadium!
