Recycling Plastic: East Asian Countries' Powerful Solution to Save Our Oceans | 4K | WorldWebX

🌊 Saving Our Oceans: How East Asian Countries Tackle Plastic Waste 🌊
Plastic has become an integral part of our lives, but its excessive usage has led to a global plastic waste crisis. With over 300 million tons of plastic waste produced annually and a staggering 8 million tons ending up in our oceans, it's clear that we need to take action now more than ever.
In today's eye-opening video, we explore the inspiring efforts of East Asian countries to recycle their plastic waste. It all begins with the dedicated waste pickers who collect valuable items like bottles, glass, and metals from the waste. These items are meticulously sorted according to their materials, with plastic bottles being the most sought-after by recycling companies.
Watch as hardworking women, who work long hours for just $2 a day, painstakingly sort the bottles by color, remove labels and caps. Even the seemingly insignificant parts of the bottles are repurposed creatively to make new items, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
The journey of the plastic bottles continues as they are transformed into sturdy plastic blocks, each weighing around 250 kilograms. From there, they find their way to specialized factories equipped with cutting-edge shredding machines that convert the bottles into small plastic chips, ready to be used in the next phase of recycling.
Witness the remarkable process of cleaning the plastic chips, as workers create a solution using water and detergent powder. These chips are washed to perfection, making them shiny and free from dirt. The remaining dirt is removed manually with utmost care.
To ensure complete drying, the washed chips are spread out under the sun in open fields and carefully stirred by the workers. Once they are dry, the chips are melted down, creating molten plastic that is extruded into thin wires. These wires are then passed through water and cut into tiny plastic granules, ready for the next stage of transformation.
The plastic granules are used to create a wide array of products by applying heat and pressure to molds. Any faulty products are not wasted; instead, they are recycled back into new granules for future use, making the entire process sustainable.
By recycling plastic in this efficient manner, we can significantly reduce the plastic waste that finds its way into our oceans, protecting marine life and our environment for generations to come.

We can not stop making plastic, everything at this time revolves around it. We need plastic all the way, from insulating our electricity for our modern world to survive, up untill it save lives in hospitals as doctor's equipments. Think of a mobile phone made of only metals, glass and no plastic, with all this advanced tech features, that's a ±1.5 kg device

Much of that comes from poor countries where there's no regular garbage pickups. Everything is thrown into the rivers. Yes, I know some iof it is from Western countries too, but not the majority. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoSV2KNtorjfoKg.html

Ужас, сопровождается таким голосом, как будто это какие-то передовые технологии переработки. Просто кошмар, в каких условиях работают эти люди.

Inhumane working conditions! All for the "cause for recycling"! LOL what a load of crap from scrap! This isn't recycling. It's reshaping and delaying scrap for later dumping in landfill. They're doing a great job there. But they're just fighting a losing battle by just dealing with a non stop problem. Think of the cost, energy and manpower it takes to begin to recycle this garbage there! Far more than it's worth!! It's still not recycled!! This type of recycling around the world is a farce and corporations are looking at the $$$$ they're making and shrugging their shoulders at the problem they're creating and saying "Who cares! We're not responsible!" Look here's how to fix it. STOP making cans and plastic containers!! Make glass containers and biodegradable paper products. IF people want to recycle them, all well and good. If not go to the landfill. It's all natural and will break down. Man! We humans are so stubborn and stupid!
