Recumbent Trike Canopy, 2015-01-05 Status Overview

See revised video: • Recumbent Trike Canopy...
This is a where-are-we-at-the-moment video! The various components of the design are complimenting one another quite nicely so I feel comfortable in publishing a 'view' of THE recumbent trike canopy.
This is not intended to be a DIY project, therefore many of the details will be lacking. With that said, if you make your own canopy I hope it serves you well but unless apples are compared with apples canopies may in deed be quite different. This canopy has over 100-separate pieces in a complete system (each part replaceable!) not counting several press-fits that became 'one' each as being several.
If you are interested in receiving additional information including prices please email your contact information and you will be placed on the info list. Also, if a physical address is supplied, I will be able to determine if I'll be in or passing through your area and perhaps we can get together for a test ride. Also, please state whether or not you'd like fabric samples to be mailed. See my contact info in the video 'credits' Thanks

    VERY impressive canopy setup you have here, the most complete and well-thought I have seen to date! Regarding Axiom mirrors, yes, they are an excellent choice for a mirror that can adjust in all planes and directions. I have one on my HP Velotechnik Scorpion, in addition to the stock big mirrors, and I like the immediate ease of adjustment of the Axiom (mine is a strap-on version, so I can mount it anywhere almost instantly). Thanks for sharing! steve

    Your doing a wonderful job on the canopy, I will be getting one probably later. I just got a month ago my Terra Trike Rover, learning all about it.Not related to the canopy, but I noticed on the back of canopy a red light I would like to find. What is the brand or model No? Your canopys look real good and your improving them all the time . Keep up the good work, will talk more later, Ron

  • @LogNotching

    @LogNotching

    8 жыл бұрын

    The handle is inexpensive and rather light weight. I also like the rubber-footed base which allows for a quick set down and retrieval. Additionally, I installed a quick-release handle to the bottom for 360° hand-held panning. Since this picture was taken I installed a shock-mount for the mic. In this picture the mic cord was draped across the handle and was picking up handling noise. So now the mic is on the left and the cord hangs free so the sound pick up is distortion free. I judge video sound as 50% of the product. And sometimes even the background sound is TRUE TO THE CAPTURE and rather 'Earthy'. Thanks for your interest.

    How much does that move around at about 15 to 17 mph? How does it handle wind up to 35 mph, in addition to writing speed? I generally cruise around that speed and much of the year is windy. The wind is usually coming from directly in front of me or the side.

    'Flopping" is directly related by how well it is tuned. Stick it up in the sky it will flop; tuck it down, not so much. I have a rider in NC consistently bombing down hills in the 50MPH range with an occasional 60+......... no flop!
