Who would have thought a South Korean experienced opera singer who helped form and became the leader of a crossover group like Forestella would be writing and singing such a beautiful Argentinian tango?! On the one hand, it is so unexpectedly delightful to hear this beautiful music from a Korean Idol…but then again HE IS Cho MinGyu😊…and I’ve come to know and love his eclectic and unique taste in music. The Opera World’s loss is definitely global WORLD MUSIC-lovers’ gain. MinGyu has introduced me to and also reminded me of so many beautiful songs that my parents used to fill the house with…some that I had forgotten about over the years when moving countries.
