RECREATIONAL PILOT CERTIFICATE: How to preflight a Jabiru

RECREATIONAL PILOT CERTIFICATE: How to preflight a Jabiru
Today I learn how to pre flight a Jabiru 170.
Note #1: I've have been taught to separate the inspection of the fuel/oil systems from the standard preflight routine. This is to ensure that the critical fuel/oil inspections are not accidentally skipped during a lengthy pre-flight inspection where distractions are common.
Note #2: This is a preflight inspection which is done before every flight. However, before the first flight of each day, an inspection of the engine is also done but not shown in this video.
ABOUT ROMEO JULIET WHISKEY:
I'm a student pilot learning to fly in my spare time. I originally received 30 hours of flying instruction 17 years ago and now I'm back in the cockpit and learning how to fly all over again.
Currently flying out of Wollongong (YWOL), Australia in light sport aircraft such as the Jabiru and Pipestrel alpha with Fly Illawarra:

Good video guys. I also like to move the wing around a bit from the outer edge to look for any play or loose bolts in the mounts.

Just a question are the rudder / elevator / aileron control horns reinforced with steel / ally or are they just fibreglass?

All fibreglass, mainly for weight as LSA's are under 1.5 tons on Take Off, the more thats saved the more the user benefits.
