Recreating Nirvana's Legendary 'Nevermind' Guitar Tones

Музыка

In today's video, I wanted to show how close you can get to Kurt Cobain's guitar tone on legendary Nirvana album Nevermind, taking a look at what gear and equipment he actually used and how I would try and get those tones with today's equipment, it's pretty close!

If you want to get even closer I highly recommend checking out NirvanaGuitars here on KZread, his videos go super in-depth with what kind of stuff Kurt used and even some history behind the gear and songs and stuff so go check it out and hopefully you'll find what you need there as well

Got myself an Angry Orange just to scratch the itch I had for better Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins tones. Really loving it. Have you tried any of the other new Keeley 4-in-1 pedals yet? Would like to see what songs/bands you use them on.

I've always wondered how they got the clean intro sound for Lithium. I've never heard anyone nail it, but you came pretty close. I've also heard he used a big muff for the distortion

Okay you need a bit of reverb and chorus I think and you need to play the chords a bit sloppily to really get that sound and yeah, kurt used mosrite pickups to get that really glassy sound on songs like lithium and drain you!
