Recreating My WORST YouTube Video

Музыка

This video is a recreation of a video I filmed in 2019 regarding a demo of a set of Fender Noiseless pickups. Although the playing ended up sounding decent, the video quality was horrible and it has bothered me ever since. I decided to re-record the music and film it once again.

I think KZread knows I love the guitar as it seems each time I turn on YT it shows guitar players, guitar teachers, equipment etc. Andy has become my favorite as he has a great way of teaching- even for an intermediate player like me. And, he plays tastefully the genres of music I enjoy most. So, easily my favorite teacher/player on KZread and would enjoy seeing him perform live anytime.

love your playing (since the Corneille days!) and content! Since we're talking on video production, I personally feel seeing the player's face makes for a better experience

What a cool way to play the guitar! You're currently my personal KZread hero! (I'm guilty of all you mention in the beginning and worse, so I learnt a ton here). Awesome, thanks so much!

Hey good to see you in SRVish mood, or at least in a what I consider to be SRVish if you hab something else in mind. I haven't seen your old attempt on this but regarding how much I dig your playing I'm quite sure that I would have liked it anyway. Great work and always a pleasure to listen to you, excuse, I have to head over to your site now, all the bass-t from kayo

Awww, Andy. Brother, you shouldn't beat yourself up over that. We all have our early days retrospect. I've been an audio engineer for 45 years, I've produced some serious shit, including stuff that involved extensive video production and live international streaming for major acts. (well, before the pandemic that is.) I've built theatres and cinemas, done theatre productions that use multimedia and so on. Yet I still look back and think something could have been done better. But I'm proud of all I've done. I still don't know it all and I still learn as I go. Buddy, I saw the original video and it looked fine to me. The happy distraction in all of it, and in fact in *all* of your videos is your amazing playing. That's what we subscribers are fixated on. Not once have I viewed your videos and thought, 'WTF is he wearing?!' Ha ha ha. 🤣🤣🤣 I've worked with some of the best guitarists in the world - rock, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz & Blues as a producer or engineer. I'm still a shit guitarist (Tommy still chuckles at me with my extensive guitar collection but I still can't get my fkn independent thumb going for 'Boom Chick', despite the years I've known and worked with him). Which is why I found you and I'm forever grateful for your work, brother. I can say with credentialed confidence that you are a world class player, Andy. And your teaching style speaks volumes. I'm looking forward to that coffee day one day when I get to Canada (got the country right this time. Ha ha.) Hope you've been well, pal. 😉 J.

Guitar wannabe’s, take note; when Andy reaches for his guitar, slide yours out of sight, take a seat in the back, pay attention and fight the gloom that envelops your brain with the realization that at no time in this life will your labored efforts sound remotely like his inspired tones. And it won’t matter what your wearing.
