I think you should do an video like this one again

I have a decent amount of Barbie books from the late 90’s that I found at a bookstore. The books actually contain some of the pictures from the photo cards. Also for the third picture, it was used in a book called “The Clue in the Haunted Library.” And if I remember correctly, Barbie was surprised by hearing a second set of footsteps behind her in an empty hallway of a library. She then heard shuffling and then got a glimpse of someone running away.

Yes! I believe you’re right about what she was hearing. I have a ton of Barbie books too. Loved them when I was younger.

I also have a ton of old barbie books from that time. I recognize a lot of the pictures. I really loved all the detailed pictures as a kid.

I also read that! The haunted library. And gasping because the library was getting closed i think. I bought book from the bookstore 4 years ago.. And i don't have that any more because of shifting. And as i was studying class 5 that time.. I don't remember much.

In the 90s they had Barbie books that all the pictures were actual photos like this. In fact, #60 was the cover of one of the ones I had. I always found them so cool, like just how much effort they put into each photo.

The Flower Power pic is super cute because it looks like a daughter recreating one of her mom's old pics

I love this idea! The original photos are so nostalgic especially because I grew up around that same time. Your modern recreations are stunning; I'm so impressed at the sets, outfits, editing, and how you got them all to stand! I totally understand the domino effect of falling dolls too lolol. Amazing video!

I really love experiencing your joy and sense of fun about Barbie! They were all great Kelsey, but I think that my favourite is the cheerleader practice photo!

Definitely # 3. I love the contrast of the dark background compared to how light Barbie is. It's like shes the light of the life for the picture!!!

When I tell you I gasped at some of these late 90s photos. Many of them were used in the barbie books in the late 90s as well! :') I've been subbed for a while now but the cheerleading pic is what made me click on the video. Thank you for reminding me of these!

Oh wow! I had no clue these existed! All the full page photos are pictures from the barbie chapter books from the barbie book club. I loved those books growing up and am trying to collect all the books. Also. I used to do that all the time. Recreating the photos like that. I actually own some of the things they used in those pictures so it was a little easier sometimes

My favorite was the girl sitting in the grass with the flowers 🌸 that’s probably my favorite 🤩

i love barbie doll photography from the 90s it's so cool to me I was actually thinking of recreating some 90s doll photography with some of my rainbow high dolls this video is so cool

Those are neat! I’ve started getting back into collecting Barbies a bit (I mainly collect American Girl currently but also have some other dolls as well). I ended up getting rid of most of my childhood Barbies around five or so years ago, maybe. I still have my childhood favorite (1992 Mermaid Barbie), as well as Dream Bride, German, and Irish Barbies, and Pocahontas. Last year I got my first Barbie as an adult and now have three newer ones.

Number two, but they are all well interpreted.

This was such a cute idea! Great job recreating the scenes, they look amazing! I think the reason the 3rd photo didn't work out as well is because the doll is not lit the same way she is lit in the original photo, so it feels less like she's there. In the old photo it looks like she is lit both from the back (from the lights on the back wall) and from the right (the direction she's facing).

I loved Barbie Photography growing up I vividly remember the stickers that came with the Barbie Gum those were my favourite 💖✨

My favorite picture out of the four is probably the cheerleading one and the flower one

I love the old Barbie photographs they where the best shame you could never get most of the dolls and clothing (well actually most of the dolls where re bodied and hair cuts etc)

My favourites were the one in the closet and the cheerleading one 🤩

The Barbie night time silver outfit gasping photo is from their 1999 Grolier Books collection: The Clue In The Haunted Library (page 17). As far as I can tell all the full photo cards were diorama scenes they created just for that book series. We don't own them all though so I can't be sure lol I grew up with the older paperback illustrated chapter books and then discovered these diorama ones later on when my daughter was little! We have both sets and try to collect any we are still missing lol they're fantastic!
