Yeah, you should have installed the Google authenticator because it can help a lot to open your account... anyway, kindly message the customer service and report the issue so that they can fix it right away.

I have a query, and I've combed the Internet trying to find an answer, without success. I only own one device, a desktop computer. I do actually have an old fashioned mobile phone, (i.e. not a smart phone) but I don't remember facebook ever asking me for the number. Yesterday, a technical assistant from a voluntary organisation worked on my computer remotely, and accidentally did something which made facebook no longer recognize my password as correct.I can no longer get into my account. I've tried to change the password several times… they send a code to my e-mail, and that's fine. However when I enter the code and put in the new password, it comes up that they are going to send some kind of notification to my"second devise". However, because it seems obvious that they've never asked me for my "dumb phone" number, that's it… I don't hear any more and it's a dead end. I'm still unable to reconnect to facebook and don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Be sure that the one who asked your password is not phising site, secondly, yes there are times that fb will ask it for verification...anyway, just click forgot pass...if this doesn't work, well kindly message the customer service for sure they can restore your account

We may have different problem with Facebook but for sure there's always a way to solve it. Did you try to login in that FB suggesting you? Did facebook send you message through email and said it's NO REPLY email?

Hi my name's Mike from Vancouver Washington my FB account was hacked about 2months ago and after I was able to use my ID to get it back but then within 3days it got hacked again and they changed my phone number linked to it so I have had a hard to even getting my account to pull up the log in screen for it but I got that and I was able to use and email of mine to get them to send some code to my email but after that it asks for a authenticator code which I do not have I remember trying to set up a Google athenticator app with it but I don't remember actually setting that up and deleted the app cuz it was too confusing for me which within and hour after that I was hacked so how to I get passed the athenticator thing or can I get that app again and it work? I can prove I'm me to u if wondering but now when I use ID to get it back again they keep saying unable to verify like wtf how are they not able to lol it's pretty obvious it's me all my oculus games are lost without my FB account plz help me plz
