Hey bob great video! I got a question on how to tell a major from a minor chord and how to just play in by ear!!

Play by ear: start doing it and you'll get better at it. Put the radio on and try playing simple stuff over any song for example. How to tell major from minor chords; same thing. You could practice more focused ear training exercises specifically related to minor vs major. Lots of great mobile apps cover this.

You were practicing some multi-phonics in the beginning. Is there any intonation or other benefits to playing them? I know they can be used in soloing and some music but past that what's the use?
