It's funny that this is recent news but the vibe of ndtv makes it look years old.

As per PPP salary calculator, it is 57 lakh+ in rupee, also after taxes. His salary be around 25-30 lakh. I hope people understand this. And rent is very high in US along with other things. Idk when will this hauwa end in India

Gov only focuses on iit they forget that there are many colleges

$2,50,000 which converts to approx ₹2cr seems a lot. But the purchasing power parity in USA and in India is different. Besides that 2cr is the ctc, the in hand would be around 1cr something(saying this because our seniors get these international offers every year here at IIT BHU, the package is of 1.5cr pa but the actual in hand those companies give is about 77lakhs only).

Out this 2cr 30% 60 lakhs goes to country development (tax) if iitn work in india. Other countries too not low in taxes. Business man pay tax after expense. Salaried pay tax before taking salary. Bullshit on tax system

Excellent education facility & faculty alongwith fees that may be subsidized + reservations & other benefits .. . then the final year & jobs overseas that aam junta , media & country hype as success .. While India gets little from this investment in their education

I think just a tiny fraction of students get international placements,but majority of them work in India (around 60% according to a website). It would be pretty imbecile to say that these 60% are not talented. In fact, these too are highly skilled/talented engineers who help in the development of nation. I know it's sad that the rest go abroad but even there, they represent India as a pool of skilled professionals, which I think is good as an international image rather than being regarded as scammers. 😅
