Reclaiming Historic Fairfax Mill in Valley Alabama
Our most unique video yet shows the reclaiming process in a whole new light. The quality of timber and bricks isn't what it use to be in the 1800's and early 1900's and there is high demand for that type of quality. That's where Southend Reclaimed comes in, they specialize in reclaiming old timber and bricks for beautiful homes. Thank you for posting this, my whole family from great grandparents to parents worked in this mill. I grew up with my grandparent’s house right next to it. I’m 24 now, and when I was a teenager my friends and I would explore it at night before they began tearing it down. It’s such an important part of the local area’s history and I hate to see it that it’s no longer standing but if it’s for a good reason, I’m glad.

We used to explore it on our breaks when I was a teenager working there. You could really get lost in there. Had no idea at the time how much I would miss those days later in life.
Do they resell the lumber on the retail market? If so, can you link to where? Thanks. Interesting Video too.
