As an athiest who was once lost this song speaks volumes. I was in tears when I heard this song in church. I went to church on a whim and this was one of the songs they played and it had me in tears as a non believer. Now as a believer I am so thankful that God has a reckless love for me.

Im getting baptized next sunday im going all in for my faith I chose God and Jesus because when I was dealing with all this depression and anxiety and bullying in school and my grandma got cancer and she passed away in the year later my aunt got cancer and she passed away in it just felt like the world was ending and I didn't want to be here and I didn't and I tried to commit suicide and every time I failed and had tried eight more times but one time I tried the very last time and it was like this message came from heaven and God himself told me that this wasn't how life was supposed to be that everything was going to be okay then I felt this presence of God himself right there beside me holding my hand and giving me strength to fight depression and a self harm addiction and suicidal thoughts and all the stuff that was bound to come but it's okay now because I believe in God I believe in Jesus and that they give me the strength to get up when I have no fight in me when I have nothing left to give I still get up and I do what I'm supposed to do and be a good person and live this life as I was meant to be. So I'm going on with my faith to show god that I am here with him just as he is here with me hr always has even if i didnt know it and he always will be

I have overcome death, divorce, mental/emotional abuse,homelessness, and unemployment. I ran from Him, and kept running towards me. God never left my side. I am so grateful, humble, and blessed.

I had one of the most surreal God moments to this song! I'll share it: I went hiking, initially the trail was closed so I got back in my car and drove until I saw a white sign w/ an arrow pointing to another trail. I parked and hiked the new found trail. The entire time I'm listening to Christian songs and praying. I get to the top & start singing to God. Continuously telling God to open my eyes to see & open my ears to hear! I hike back down to where the trail & everyone else was and a lady stops me. She suggested, I go where they came but I told her no, I'm ok I was up there (as I pointed to the top). She was like, we're you the one singing? A bit shocked/embarassed, I said yes. She was like, I was cheering you on. She asked what I was listening to and I told her. She asked if I knew of a certain song & I couldn't put my finger on it. She starts singing it and as I tune in, I notice it's playing in my earbud (in the other ear). I unplug my headphones and let her listen. We stood there overlooking Phoenix AZ as the song played, until it ended. It happen to be this very song! The two of us acknowledged how precious that moment was that we shared and gave all the glory to God. It was BEAUTIFUL! I still didn't know the title, I kept trying to find it but couldnt. A day or two later this very video is suggested & pops across my KZread homepage. My faith is very strong but I was and still am in awe & still can't stop listening to it! GOD IS VERY REAL! OH HOW HE LOVES US DESPITE OUR MANY FLAWS! GOD bless & I hope this touches many hearts as it did the three of us who witnessed it firsthand!

I Heard my eldest son singing this song and he challenged me to learn it. Apparently his sunday school teacher taught his class the song. After they learnt it while singing it she began to cry. After learning the song I understand why,God's love is so powerful and consistent that it never changes no matter what we have done. He is such a wonderful shepherd that he leaves the 99 and looks for the one that is lost. Oh what a wonderful saviour,I thank God today for loving us,this song is so beautiful and so beautifully sung,I played it about 10 times for the morning!

God is too faithful to fail. I became a widow just few months after my wedding in 2014 at the age of 26.I cried and asked God questions for some years but still held onto him trusting him for the best for my life. 7yrs after 2021,He restored me by blessing me with a good husband and just a month into my marriage, he gave me conception with twins who are 1+ now. U do this one💃💃💃

“Oh it chases me down fights till I’m found leaves the ninety nine” is about the parable Jesus told the people about the one sheep that wondered off and he leaves the other 99 sheep to find that one carries the one on his shoulders and rejoices. He tells this parable to show how god loves everyone the same the 99 people who follow him and the one sinner he loves everyone and fights for everyone because he has a never ending reckless love for all his children ✝️

To the reference definition of reckless. If you want a god who DOESN'T know the consequences of an action then you don't want the God of the Bible. He is omniscient. He is sovereign. He knows the beginning from the end. He IS NOT reckless. The song is 'ok', sort of. It just needs a more thoughtful and biblical lyric to replace reckless. I would also challenge you on your statement that God's love is unconditional. To appropriate His amazing love you must meet 2 conditions: 1-repent of your sins, 2- place all your faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ.

Matt Pett, wrong. His love is absolutely unconditional! Your 2 conditions are for receiving salvation. Don't confuse this, please. God loves the sinner, even those who have chosen to reject Him, as much as He loves those of us who have received His Son and live holy. The consequences of the decisions that people make is not because God stopped loving them; those consequences have been set in place and are met at that person's decision to meet them. God never stops loving His greatest creation....mankind.....no matter what we do. Jesus died when we were yet sinners. I don't mean any offense, but don't teach that God only loves us when we receive Christ. If so, how would any of us ever be saved in the 1st place?

Tracyna Justice you are correct and that other guy is correct. God is love. His love is unconditional because His nature is love. God also says His wrath rests on those who do not accept His Son. Storing up wrath as well. Salvation is conditional but God will love us through it all. The idea that God still has that infinite love for us is what brings people to believe that He won’t send the unrepentant sinner to hell. It’s hard to merge the two ideas. That is why the other guy is correct as well but misspoke I think. God has adopted His children. We are His sheep. We are His chosen ones. There really isn’t a theology sweet enough to describe those that are not chosen so we just pray He chooses more.

Nowhere in my response did I give any indication that God does not "send people to Hell." I have no issue with that. Don't put words into my mouth. God will absolutely cast people into Hell, but that is His righteous judgment for those who have refused His son. Their response to refuse to accept His Son is to bring about His wrath. God loves them still, but He must punish sin. The unbelievers' sins are not atoned for and therefore the wrath of God is inevitable for them. But it doesn't remove His love, ever. Again, if He didn't love the sinner, how would any of us have ever been saved. Jesus died while we were yet sinners. God sent His Son knowing full well every single horrible thing every single soul would do, and Jesus came anyway. That is unconditional love....period. So no, we are not both correct. He was saying His love isn't unconditional for the sinner. Not true.

I just had a friend who strayed from the Lord send me a screen shot of this song from her Jeep and tell me how much she loves this song!!! Yes Jesus!!

This song helps me so much...I'm not in a good place right now...don't want to be here any longer and feel this pain...but this song helps me so much! May God be with you all.

I was listening to songs from my church and came over this one. I started crying even though it isn't that much of a sad song. I felt this presence of God as I singed it. I absolutely love this song!

I’ve been going through a lot in my life I still don’t know god very well I’m trying to get myself together but every day something else happens that takes me off track I’ve gone through abuse I’ve gone through abandonment and I’ve been fighting mental illnesses it’s all hard to do but gods brought people in my life that’s helped so much. I have a lot of friends now that help and love me but when I was in my old school that was a real struggle cause of all the bullying that happened to me I got spit on and always had bruises on my arms but since I’ve been going to my Christian school life’s been great some things pop up here and there but I’m sure I’ll make it through it if I pray hard enough ❤️

Its amazing how our young generation is going to God . Im 14 years old and i was a lukewarm christian for almost 4 years( i became a Christian at 10 years old) but God deserves our full praise and adoration because he i great!! And holy and we shouldn’t be a lukewarm christian because we have to be either cold or warm or else in scripture it says that Jesus will spit us from him mouth. Just because your a Christian doesnt mean you have a free way to heaven. Humble yourselves and follow God. We will fall at times we aren t perfect but we need to strive to do our best in the presence of the lord. God bless you and your families

Oh. The overwhelming, never ending, Reckless Love of God

I'm here because of many things... But first, I'm here because of our amazing youth pastor from school. He's super nice and helps everyone who needs help, like me... Tomorrow I'm talking with him about my problems and everything I've been struggeling these last days... We're talking in a church. When I was at this church the last time, he said 'Welcome Home' to us as soon as we went in the church. That's why I love him, he's amazing! The second thing is that I'm having a church weekend this weekend. So in the church I am talking with my teacher tomorrow is a church party at Saturday. On Sunday is a church party in our church finally and I'm helping there like everytime. The last thing is an easy thing. I just LOVE God and Jesus and the church SO much, I can't describe it!!!

I wish I can stop loving life and love God more, I have wandered far away from God,i pray I fine my way back to him

I had a friend who was an atheist and I was listening to this song on my headphones(it was loud tho) she was singing along to the second verse and she said she liked the song. She said it made her feel right(?) I forgot how she said it.

I was in the hospital with COVID and I kept listening to this song while I was laying on bed by my self with no one to talk to. I was un oxygen and I couldn’t breathe for 7 days but all I have to says is GOD is good I’m home today without oxygen.

I am only 13 and write now this song is really touching me God never stops loving .

every time i hear this song i can just see and hear my granny singing it with me! she loved the lord very much , and taught me everything about him. i was too young and didn't listen.. i did get on the right path though and got saved and baptized. but after , i done things i shouldn't have done (im a teen)
