Wow. Twitch in it's early days, wotlk when PvP was premo, and a beautiful soul reking people in arena. This was my most active time in world of warcraft and I was very into PvP. lots of guides out there. depends how latency is, if it sucks don't spec for backstab shit. energy hungry in the expansion anyways. only kill shit in dance anyways. if you are doing 3s, have high resi. improved gouge is must. honor among thieves is must. dont glyph vigor. shadow dance, preperation, and sprint. minors: vanish, blurred speed, and distract(can change this one). wound offhand, mind numbing on main hand, berserking offhand 1.4 speed dagger(marm) or can do 1.5 axe/sword/mace. titanium wep chain mainhand. get 164 hit. stack ap over agility. dpnt need to march sockets unless you need hit or resi. can do ap+stun reduc meta or agil+crit%. upkeep slice and dice 100% when you can, don't dance without high- full energy unless absolutely need peels. sap off fears with shield. get used to focus saps.

most people hate me when i say this, but WoD was 10x more balanced than WotLK or any other xpac, and Legion even more so. it's easy to forget, but back then you didn't have nearly as many choices in comp/class to push r1 as now, which is almost EVERY class. also, certain PvE gear made people so OP back then. believe me, as someone who's played since BC, i get nostalgic as fuck and don't enjoy the game 1/2 as much as i used to, but i don't think it's because blizz fucked it up or anything. i think it's because i know every little thing about the game now so it's just not as exciting as it was when i was still finding out new things, etc. i think "blizz fucked this game up so bad" is just a cliche bandwagon thing to say because people typically can't look inside themselves and realize shit. hell, people have been saying that since WotfuckingLK!!!

Shaman could play all 3 specs to high rating Priest could play 2/3 to high ratings Mage could play all 3 although frost was the most reliable one Rogue could play 2/3 to high rating Druid could play all 3 to high rating Paladin could play all 3 to high rating Warrior could play 2/3 to high rating Hunter could play 2/3 to high rating Warlock could play 2/3 to high rating DK could play 1/3 to high rating and almost all specs had more than 1 comp to choose from.

Stopped playing at the End of 2010. Played a little bit of Legion, solo, was a great continent. But the Pvp nowdas feeld way more dump, even bacl then it wasn´t a smart game, but it had it strenght, and the kind of cooperating seems to miss today. For you who never played something like that, never fell in love with an multiplayer Game that will be changed in the future. You will miss it for ever.

Oscar Opiela look at LOL and how successful it is as esports, even though champs are imbalanced. doesnt need to be completely balanced, as long as stupid mechanics (such as lock pet having 6k hp) that make the game unplayable competitively are fixed immediately, and not dragged for 6 months to a year to get noticed.

This was quite possibly the most foolish move ever made by blizzard, considering that arena pvp was the one of its kind in its own genre, and had potential to be as successful as league of legends if in game balance was well managed

Arena Tournament I think. Now known as blackrock (warmane), it's an instant level 80 pvp-only server with easily accessible starting gear, gems, enchants and transmog.
