I was taught to switch the ports whenever there are flow issues such as clotted access points. It's good to know the downside of using this technique. It's good for buying time until you can troubleshoot the issue with the standard placement. Thank you for the video

Hi I have a question I'm new to dialysis. My dialysis nurse connects my blue to red and red to blue on my chest catheter. Does that effect the way it cleans my blood ? Because I noticed I get more headaches when she does that.

During administration of medications like albumin, blood, antibiotics is it as advisable to scale down on fluid removal rate to bare minimum. How long should we wait to remove fluid post albumin and blood to allow for the effects of the products? Would running blood through dialysis decrease risk of clotting? In dic what would help dialysis machine from clotting? Thank you very much. One of the best education videos I found.
