I love how natural this presentation is. Not everything is in front of her all ready to go. And she has to go to the fridge to get milk and butter. Very relatable. You can tell this is her own kitchen because she moves about it like a goddess!

She was only in agreement to do the TV thing if she could do it unscripted. Brilliance and ahead of her time for sure. I like her old stuff better than the new stuff lol

I love all the shots of Nigella obscured by collanders and cooking equipment- such an intimate and natural feeling you don't see in today's cooking presentations.
Who else loves the background evening light coming through the doors in the back?? Always been such a comfort to me while I watched this show

It's because it's her actual kitchen and not a set/studio. She even has to go to the fridge to get cream & butter - it's part of her truly homestyle brand
Her language creates vivid images of the food. And the music is so iconic Nigella.
“Volcanic eruption of dark luscious syrup”. Good god my mouth is watering! 😋
Her pottering around is so calming
A gorgeous Jewess cooking up a delicious pork roast. I love it. 😹😍😘

Thank you Nigella for all your amazing recipes. I hope that more people across the globe will learn more and more from your expertise. Keep it up!

She is Brilliant...I did have a nervous breakdown once whisking my syllabub concoction by hands🤣🤣🤣.....freaking 20 mins. still it was runny🤣🤣🤣
Mrs Crocombe would really like this pudding
Love anything Nigella makes 🥰
Thanks for the dessert choice. I'm a huge Turkish delight fan, but haven't found any (good) near me and I'm not much of a confectioner. And syllabub is a huge favorite from childhood. Mum made wonderful ones.
Thank you for always filling me and my life with good and positive things.
I didn't know that vinegar helped crackling. Must add to my bag of tricks!
That sticky toffee pudding ! Whoa
Love. everything about nigella bites……I watch and rewatch Comforting
Just found my new goodnight ASMR!
Love this woman.
Ooh! That pulled lamb with pomegranate and mint! I'd put that in fresh tortillas and make tacos out of it! Maybe add some of that arugala salad she had on the side on the taco too! Everything is better in a tortilla!
Looks very good she's great in the kitchen.
Love it

This looks tasty, but lamb is not a readily available meat for my area.
When she put the coffee beans in the grinder and it cut to the peaceful shots of the streets, I thought they were gonna play the sound of the grinder over, for comedic effect

Not trying to be funny or a troll but every time I watch her videos she never really use and seasonings nor season her food. I’m sure her food isn’t bland but it looks like it’s flavorless the next day
@dieterdelange9488
3 жыл бұрын
I suspect that the food gets seasoned off-camera. She once said that you shouldn't put salt on vegetables when roasting, because it will make the water in them leak out, making them braise instead of roast. I'm not 100% sure if the same happens with meat, but for some reason it's better to season it after cooking. Some of her recipes with bacon don't need a lot of salt due to the bacon itself. She usually seems to "season" with spices instead of salt and pepper, though I suspect that she probably keeps salt and pepper on the table so her guests can season it for themselves if they want to.

I noticed that as well. It’s funny though, if you watch her other videos she always says how she hates throwing things away, and it’s apparent because she saves so many scraps and small bits of food a drinks so as not to throw them away.

Nigella has a great TV personality. However, her dishes and food presentation is horrible..
Cooking a giant piece of pork in long sleeve silk pajamas? Really? The easiest way to turn over a large piece of pork is with a big meat fork and knife. Using oven mitts is wasteful and unsanitary.

Why are the comment sections beneath Nigella’s videos always populated with such whiny bullshiters...? This show is 20 years old. And yes, really, she did cook in payamas and was not as santiary as today’s sanitary fascists would like her to be. And people still love her. Go watch Gordon Ramsey 🤬
