hi guys, i'm italian and i live in costa rica 7 months a year, in costa rica i have a golf cart with the batteries changed 2 months ago, now i have to stop the golf cart for 4/5 months, what do you recommend to protect the batteries, is enough to disconnect them? thank you in advance

Steve. Do you have knowledge on lithium golf cart batteries? If needed in sleep mode or dead lithium how can I wake up or charge them up to a level where the charger will take over?

Same basic principal but more tedious. I would suggest something like a B6 charger for each parallel set (which may be as little as 1 cell, dunno about your pack). One wrong move though - POOF.

It would be easier if you charged 2 batteries in series with a 12v charger and btw you dont have to disconnect anything if you on hook to the 2 batteries that are connected in series

so with a typical cart there are 6, 8v batteries. you are saying that you don't need to disconnect any of them, that the connection between the lead battery, and the second battery you connect to will terminate the circuit?

@@dffps129 I don’t know if you ever got the question answered but yes that’s correct. You can charge two of the batteries at once since you’ll only be putting 12v into 16v that way. I literally just did this on mine and it worked perfectly and I never disconnected anything. McCulley Golf cars channel has an excellent video on exactly how to do it. Unfortunately this video shows a much slower process to get to the same end goal. Note, 36v is the threshold, however when I followed the process my system got up to 39v and I was able to plug in the cart charger and make it work. Hope that helps!!

I did this yesterday on a 36V system. Charged 2 at a time on 12V setting. It worked and now automatic charger has taken over

My charger still won’t kick on! I put 40 Amp boost on each battery for 30 min! Any advice?

Your pushing to many amps n for 30 Amp charging you charge 2 batteries at same time one batterie with positive n next batterie with negative with no taking cable off there all hook up side by side so taking nuts off batteries to charge is not needed when charging 2 batteries at same time for 30 minutes @ 30 Amps
