Couldn’t agree more ! I've been in constant touch with a fiinancial-analyst since covid . These days, it's really easy to buy into trending stock's, but the task is determining when to buy or sell. My advisorr decides entry and exit commands on my portfoliio, I've accrued over $550k from an initially stagnant reserve of $150K

@Greg Salazar I have noticed the same thing, it used to *almost* make enough to pay for internet, then it dropped until someone sent me a thanks but I suspect that we only get around 60% of what someone sends via a super thanks.

My cpm is on the same cycle it's always been on. I think it's just because your content is financial related and those companies are getting hit the hardest right now.

People making $250k a year living paycheck to paycheck need to readjust their lives and "start living below their means". If you make $250k a year and rising costs have forced you to live paycheck to paycheck. It's time to rethink your expensive car with high monthly payments or that penthouse condo, etc. A salary at that level, there's no reason you should be paycheck to paycheck unless your life style was already precariously extravagant.

yes, people are migrating from IG to TikTok, for example. I observed an coach (one, with serious valuable content, interesting only to few people) listen to advice from another coach and open an account on TikTok. While it became increasingly obvious that IG is filtering who sees what (shadowing), so critical content creators end up producing videos for 20 people, that coach has seen 600 new followers in a week.

I don't think you appreciate how expensive it is to produce original programming. Netflix had no choice but to raise rates. A lower priced tier with ads may help Netflix stay competitive.

Hey Graham, if you need confirmation that we are in a recession, just ask the family of four in front of you in the grocery line up. The families, struggling to pay for groceries, put a roof over their had and keep the lights on are the only proof you need that we are in a recession. I'm not sure that anyone cares that your tube channel revenue is declining. Love your channel, but know your audience. Thanks.

My opinion on this is that with the cost of living going up people are working more therefore have less time to indulge in entertainment like KZread or going out.

I don't think this necessarily means a recession is coming, we still are in a macro inflation environment (this means you have a huge demand for products and services) and we are still having some very important supply chain problems which make products scarce, therefore if I were a company which is selling more than what I have in stock , then I would stop advertising until I fix my production problems.

Great episode Graham! Can you do a video on what to prepare for during a recession? Or what we should do with investments or TSP?

From my own anecdotal evidence, I'm getting more ads for programs, and other packages, etc, that I got during the height of the pandemic. So many ads seem to be for scams, or at the very least, worthless courses. The ones that say you can quit your job and make passive income by following these steps, etc. I was getting those in the beginning of the pandemic, I assume the way ads work has to do with bids, and what not, so now that the ad rates are lower, the grifters can now afford to push their ads out more.

My ad revenue is holding steady. But a low nominal base to start with 😂

Stopped advertising on FB for this reason as a business owner.

My ad revenue has been lower too! In December of 2021, just half a year ago, I was getting surprisingly high ad revenue (CPM) on even my video game channel! Now though, it certainly is tough! Gotta go through cycles with KZread too, I suppose, similar to the economy/investing!

I just spent a tonne of time investigating recessions and built a doc video about it. My big takeaway is three things but the one that I truly believe is most important is that community is key to weather this storm. Keep that network tight and encouraged. 👊🏻

I had $200 in my stocks account which at this moment in my life is almost half of my total net worth and it’s down to $80, meaning I’ve lost over $100 which for me is a HUGE hit. Man, seeing what can be done with KZread I’m going to go as hard as possible, it’s either this or I don’t know what I’ll do.
