I really think the crowd was super tense this year. Hope you get time for a full set next year after Biden wins his second term and, hopefully, tfg has been held accountable for some of his crimes. There will be much more material and folks won't be so afraid to laugh! 💙

Congratulations, Matt!! That must have been quite an experience. Love all the impressions, but your Howard Stern is spot on and my fave [right?]. Also, I've been a Maher fan for years- as you said, it's new- but you captured him, especially his up and down pitches, perfectly!! Apparently, he's not too fond of impressions of him- oh well. I thought his performance at the White House Correspondence Dinner was really good considering that half the people there were not amused by him. It was like he walked into a snake pit and came out unscathed. He must have been extremely nervous, but he didn't show it. Good for you, Matt!

@stevesiebold What are the odds that Lorne Michaels would be in the audience that night? It seemed like a perfect audition for Matt, and he nailed it! I expect that Matt may be offered a guest slot on SNL or even a feature opportunity. I love being in on the ground floor of watching a young, talented comedian/impersonator starting his career, and I see bright things in this young man's future!

Jim Carrey shtick is to make weird faces and pass that as comedy this guy is better

I hope Matt continues to hone his craft and sticks around. He does need to be a bit more aware that there is an actual line that he shouldn’t cross, it wouldn’t be good for him if he has a Gilbert Godfried moment because it could still all end in a flash, the jokes about McConnell’s deteriorating neurological health, the joke about the guy who self immolated at the courthouse, etc were definitely cringeworthy.

@BlueEyed888 Comedians and impressionists have been insulting people for years. Matt impresses me as a decent and classy guy who should trust his own instincts, and he will be just fine. Congrats Matt for nailing your impressions standing among a crowd of GOP politicians that probably wanted to laugh, but didn't dare for fear of being caught on camera - LOL!
