The Rediffusion ident opened across the word REDIFFUSION then went up and down to reveal the adastral against black, further the clock was a Smiths Sectric and used mains frequency to keep time and the second hand moved evenly across the face not a quartz clock running off a battery and showing jumps for seconds.

The adastral on the clock used to spin - go to Hatfield’s video which was recorded at the time, the professional wrestling was on a bank holiday and started at 4 pm (16:00) 4.45 (16:45) was the time for “Small Time” on children’s television.
