BigboiBona they could’ve just kept Wiggins but not give him a max deal. That’s what killed them, giving him that 5yr almost $150M extension early in to or right before the start of the 2017-2018 season as he was gonna be a RFA in the 2018 off season. They could’ve offered him like 5yr $90M-$100M, and if he demanded more or a max, then they could’ve traded him because he still had a lot of value at that point. Or they could’ve just let him go to RFA and see if he got 4yr max offer sheet, as only they could give him the 5th year and so much money. And they could have him for like 4yr $100M or whatever or maybe less instead of 5yr $150M. Giving him the full 5yr max was a HUGE mistake and pretty much everyone knew it at the time beside them I guess. Obviously he still had a lot of value and was a good young player with potential, so I’m not trying to revise history and say oh just give him 4yr $50M or something, but 5yr $100M should’ve been the absolute MAX they offered him, or just matched any offer sheets in RFA. Either way they’d have way more cap and be paying him like $20M/yr instead of 30, which makes a big difference in his trade value now and their cap space.

Luke Kennard is looking like a good NBA player with potential, Drummond is Drummond, Blake Griffin is yet again a all nba team guy, they have all of their first round picks moving forward and most of their guys are on 1 year deals. Meaning they can make a trade next season or sign guys next offseason.

Perimeter centric is a perimeter shooting offense. You look at teams like the warriors who run a fast pace perimeter centered offense you have shooters on the outside with a rebounder/rim protector center

I think the hornets are in a worst position because instead of Drummond and Griffin it’s just walker and no matter what they do they are screwed cause they are so far down in the hole but just can’t make the playoffs and get a bad pick
