I bought the cheapest Porsche 718 cayman s 3 months ago from copart & have been rebuilding and restoring it back to its former glory since then. I have also been upgrading alot of parts to GT4 parts & in the last video i dropped the car off so it could be painted... Now its back and its time to rebuild this thing for real!

Easily the best build you have done imo. The workmanship that has gone into this car is exceptional. Defo get black GT4 wheels to pop it off

There is such a brilliant mix of pace, information, entertainment value and likeability to these videos. No doubt about it - this is my favourite channel 👍

It's nice to see the videos come full circle; including his mates in his videos. {although it remains true to his statements: starting off in a restaurant carpark, start where you are, and have confidence to use what you have. Don't stress by what you 'don't' have access to.) [From "getting lit" to "giving back." Awesome testimony to their maturity, and hope for our future.] Mat is an inspiration for restoration of humanity, as much as upgrading automobiles. (See here, at the least, it's not a "disposable" generation!)

@@MatArmstrongbmx you have done amazingly well on this one and the colour actually suits the car very well its less boring than the silver.👍👍
I always love watching Mat build these projects, he's obviously not the only car build channel on here, but its his attitude that attracts, its like there is no problem he cannot solve and he always stays very positive and very thankful for what he has
This channel is better than most of the car shows on Netflix/Amazon. Your enthusiasm and the way you show us all the work you do is awesome. Just wish we had longer videos to watch!
We need more people like Mat in the world.
Great build to follow!! Not sold on the massive rear wing, but the overall build is brilliant Can't wait for the finish result.
There is no other channel I look out for with so much anticipation and it never, ever fails to exceed my expectations ...... big smile on face all the way through this one. You choose great cars, describe in just right amount of detail, a great enthusiastic character and great camera work / music choice (even for me in my 60's). Never stop doing this stuff please!
It’s amazing to see such a great group of friends. The support you guys give to each other is true friendship 😊
I simply can’t wrap my head around why you don’t have way more subscribers. I watched every bit of this series. Brilliant content!

3/4 of a million is low?? More than watch CNN in the US, honestly. Also, it’s word of mouth & random arrivals sticking. No big budget advertising.
Absolutely brilliant stuff from Matt. I truly believe those behind the scene clips and 'mistake' attempts together with Matt's genuine 'never say die' positive attitude made this a superior show than any other streamed ones. Kudos to Matt for being humble despite his massive mechanical & electrical systems knowledge and his crew for making these nearly impossible projects a reality. Top Class!! 👏
most educative automotive channel hands down
Hi Matt - you won’t remember me, but we briefly met when we were trying to get our track licence from Mallory park. We rocked up in a blue sprinter and my brother luke recognised you from your videos. Sadly early this year he unexpectedly passed away and I found your videos online. Big fan of your videos but this set has been close to home. Luke owed a 718 which is now mine which will never be sold. It’s been great watching and learning a thing or two. Hopefully it won’t need the repairs you did! Best - Scott
the yellow looks great
Just found the channel a couple of days ago, binge watched a couple of the playlists including the Golf R, and the Aston. Great thing was I seen them right till the end product. Started this Porsche series today and I'm now left with a cliff hanger so close to the end. The suspense is killing me! Also seen the one where you visited The Smallest Cog, Hammond has you sussed a mad man! How dull the world would be without you mad men! Keep at it Mat a fantastic channel that I'm going to love browsing! Fantastic skills!
The Porsche looks amazing! I was not sure of the colour at first, but with all the carbon bolted on, it’s looking fantastic!
Great video Mat. The Cayman looks sick. Big up the Leicester KZreadrs 👍🙏👌
All I can say is your a genius mat. Your skill to your videos its all on point. Big thumbs up.
500k views in 1 day, really says a lot abt you as a person, especially for a car content creator, which car video views are typically significantly less than other videos, everytime you release a video i wait til i'm off work , get a plate of food and play your video on my 55" , which says a lot becuz i always watch videos on my phone, you give me goosebumps just seeing the amount of passion, heart, and quality into your videos, i dream and strive to be even half as good as you, im slowly starting to do my own work on my daily M2 6MT, hopefully one day i can achieve this!

Thanks so much mate! Really glad you enjoy the channel!
Stunning Matt, great paintwork.
The colour looks really nice. Great choice in my opinion. Incredible how far this car has come!
Mat all I’m gonna say is good job. This year alone your rate of new subscribers has just been rolling in, it’s nuts. That 1 million is coming soon
Easily the best car content on KZread. I respect this more than the others because it’s stayed true to its roots yet still pushed its boundaries. You do it all yourself and so humble. Great content all around. Glad to see how this channel has grown #HWBT
That is hands down a fabulous paint job and I LOVE the colour it brings out the panels so much better!
I love the entire journey of your videos, how you show the entire journey from salvage to fixing including costs then also making it road worthy then also the final tune ups with performance and sound its perfectly unique!

except he "forgot" to add the cost of suspension, brakes, paintjob and probably some other things
Love the yellow and black combination. Definitely would like black wheels on that and yes for the spoiler to stay..
This is brilliant. Good job Mat.. Can’t wait to see the car complete, driven out of the garage.
Mat deserves more subscribers, he brings real honest content.
This is looking epic!!!! Love the colour, and the big wing is perfect, very MA!!! Can't wait to see the wheel choice, black wheels on the yellow may get lost, and your wheels are never simple, so deserve to stand out 😀
It's starting to look really awesome Mat! The Yellow and black work perfect together. And the paintshop did an awesome job as well! So sick.
Absolutely love this build, coming along so nicely! What an incredible paint job and body work by Allied Automotive! Beautiful!
Brilliant job, another car saved and transformed. Looked better without the spoiler but that’s just my humble opinion 👍🏼
Love this build, great job Mat! Whilst you have panels off, take the opportunity to add sound deadening, you won't regret it.
Everytime there is a new video I get so excited to see what kinda of crazy shenanigans he's up to this time!!! IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!
I love the Color, Awesome paint work. That Wing and the Front end is just unbelievable. Fantastic rebuild thus far.
Mat, this is honestly amazing. Youre done such an amazing job. Congrats 👏
Your channel absolutely f**king rocks… Your delivery, the projects, the extended team you use… All of it…. Superb job and really happy for your continued success.
Mat I love you and your videos so much. Your personality is so infectious and I can’t wait to see what will be next to come on the channel in the future

Such a beautiful car!!!! Amazing design/colors. Great work.
How humbling to think Mats never driven a porsche before building one up from scratch basically. Nice work man, much respect
The color looks great Posche coming out just fine 🙂 but personally would prefer it without the wing

Hats off to you Mat- that colour is perfect for the Cayman. 👏🏻
I'm just loving the vibe you have created and the people you have brought together
Amazing as always Mat. You must put this up for auction to give us all a.chance to win this. That front bumper looks great and surprisingly I love the wing.
Loving the content at the moment mate, can’t wait see this when it’s finished
I love your videos and rebuilds . Keep it going❤
I’m absolutely in love with this build man 🤤 I’ve said it on all of the cayman project episodes, but it’s exactly what I’m lookin at doing with a 718. I want to do the gt4 conversion with one of these in Frozen Berry and dry forged carbon, instead of the gloss carbon, SO bad. This has definitely been my favorite project so far, and you’re KILLING it 😎🙌🏼 I can’t wait to see it all finished and buttoned up and see you enjoying it on the road. As always, stay awesome man! ✊🏼
I for one love wraps. It's your imagination running naked through the street. But a solid paint job, with a unique color and interior build can be beautiful! Great job on the color!!!
Absolutely amazing how much work you guys get through. You make Ratarossa look like a Koala.
Love that colour! Not a huge fan of the wing though. Absolutely loving this series and I’m looking forward to seeing the final result
Love the styling on this car. When yellow works, it really works! Better than when it left the factory😎
Mate, what a transformation! That car is looking immense 🤘😃 Your channel just keeps getting better and better!
Glad this doesn’t clash with top gear 🎉

Cars looking insane! Love how much work you accomplish in each video.
That is stunning 😍 well done Matt and your helpers 👍
Love the color and the build so far! Dislike the wing for aesthetics, and because you haven’t driven it yet to see if the handling merits a wing. Always fun watching you and your friends having fun and staying so positive throughout these challenging builds!
Mat, one upgrade I would really strongly suggest (but I know isn't cheap) is upgrading the headlights to PDLS+. They look SO much better with the new Porsche style 4 rectangle DRLs, and the main beam assistance features are great too. I love it on my Cayman GTS, and I know that it's an option that A LOT of Cayman buyers look for in a car.
Super well shot. Looking like great progress!
Looks so cool! As soon as the rear bumper was put on it came to life....Great job guys!
Beautiful finish love the colour! The wheel choice is definitely going to make or break the final look 👀

A silver wheel would be my second choice.
The part of the dash over the instrument cluster is called a "binnacle" for anyone that was curious. The name is borrowed from the wooden housing on ships that would contain the compass and other instruments.
incredible journey and the final product is looking sick! love the color! keep up the great work.
i like how you named every video properly so i can watch every car series without needing to figuer out witch one is next. i love ur content man keep it up
The paint job is absolutely stunning
The transformation is epic Great job mate
Incredible how far this car went! Great job guys
What a build, such smart colour, really pops the shapes of the Porsche. One of a kind 👌👌
Black wheels with yellow brake calipers would look insane on this build
I absolutely love the colour choice! Love Orange cars, I know it's technically yellow but in low light it's beautiful. Don't let others live your life, glad you have the balls to design the cars you prefer, always remember some one out there agrees with you.
Being completely NOT mechanically minded myself, I can't help but be impressed by Mat Armstrong's audacity with these supercars. He and his team's videos are always so enjoyable for me, even though I would be terrified to try anything similar.
binged watch it all! Awesome channel! Can't wait for the final look and you driving it. Looking incredible Mat!

My respect for this man and the project! I know jack sh*t about cars and I am enjoying the hell out of it! Its so satisfying knowing something so beautiful can be broken and fixed again! I feel like like a little kid and I can't believe there is no next video yet! We're so close!!
Mat! I’m speechless!!! What a transformation!!! Sensational!!!!!
I absolutely love this channel so much. Matt and Team keep up the great work.
What a car absolutely stunning, and a garage full of super cars, this is the number one channel on KZread.
Colour and wing are 10/10. Looks like a proper race car for the road!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥color choice, now the belts make sense. Awesome build watching the process from beginning to end👍🏽👍🏽
I got a Miami blue 718 S that I daily drive.. you will love yours. Since you did that GT4 hood and wing, you got to at least stage 2 this car.
Another amazing transformation- looking good so far
Love this colour or orange papaya that Mclaren come in. Project is turning out great. Keep up the good work.
No, the colour is amazing. You’ve totally nailed it. Can wait to see it done ✅
That front bumper is BANGING!🎉
I think this maybe the best build yet. Absolutely loving the colour choice. 👌
You're brilliant! I love how you got gts parts and changed the leather, I think this build is gonna be the most special one out of all your other builds, can't wait to see the finish product💯💯
This channel has got to be the best ever growing channel on KZread , btw love the colour 💪
Loving the porsche build, the colour is spot on. Definitely think you should go with the black wheels.
I think we all agree that we need longer videos mat ! Keep up the good work, best of luck.
love the color !!!!..always been a fan of the crazy bright colors !!
Love the color. Car came out looking spectacular. Great job!
That find a friend website had me rolling, bravo on making ads feel less cheesy!
Awesome job Matt 😍 always loved your channel definitely a favourite for me > the wheels have to be a narrow front and wide setup at the rear, will look absolutely mint. All the way from South Africa.
Fresh new paint always looks stunning compared to a wrap, Colour choice was spot on especially with how good it looks with the carbon unreal mate
Looks so good 👌🏼 good friends you got there
The yellow looks great now you've fitted all the black parts to calm it down, good choice mate
Amazing work, especially as it was so beat up. 👍
Amazing levels of patience to put all that back together!
Only just discovered this channel and can’t stop watching. Love the upgrades on the car 👍
Have you thought about mentioning the labour in to the cost roundup? Maybe just as a footnote rather than included into the actual bottom line. Would be interesting to see how that balances it out.
