Rebuilding in Recovery | Addiction Recovery | Daniel Hearn | Donna Gilchrist
Donna and I have had a wild ride. We are often asked how we could come back from it all and still be together. We're still working on an answer to that but we decided to unpack our recovery in an effort to understand. Hope you get something out of this one.

She truly is my rock. I wish I was half as centered as she is 🤣
Hearing Donna say she way home made me reflect on how I feel in my space now. I have had this moment in my mom’s house now. I AM home and I’m lucky.

I have read that anger comes from 3 main emotions: Fear, hurt or frustration

Sounds accurate.

I guess abandonment would fall under category for hurt, but ive experienced what seemed like out of the blue rage/ outrage that I didn't expect/know was connected with buried/unrecognized/ unacknowledged feelings of/from abandonment. I didn't realize how much fuel there was for that fire.

I didn't realize I had so much unresolved energy around abandonment, the rage seemed to come out of the blue, until I connected the dots, abandonment being fuel for resentment fuel for (judging, comparing what "should be"with what is) very quick jolts of anger.
I am finally gunna catch a live stream after so loooooooong!!!!!!!
soooo sweeeet... not in a sweet cheesy way, for it is raw, and heavy loaded, and prickly... but there is also this pure innocent sweetness of two humans after all the dirt of this world has been experienced back and forth... 🙏📿❤🩹

Thanks for checking us out 🙏
I haven’t finished the video but you guys are so honest about youre sobriety. I hear a lot of emotions in what you’re both saying. Inspite of the struggles things can not be more perfect. Your talk made my eyes water. I’m so happy for your family’s perseverance.

first time here, I was stunned, not used to people talking about real life like this, I mean, _without screaming!_ ..
