Definitely just that section. Doing the entire quarter panel is just adding extra work for no rewards. 😂

Why didn’t he just straighten it and bondo it ?
The damaged area only needs fixing, no point making it more expensive and would take a lot longer to repair the whole panel. You know exactly what your doing and will do it perfect. I’d be very happy if you fixed my car.
The smaller the section you repair is much more better better than the entire quarter. But it takes a very skilled and professional to do it the right way, just like what you've done. The only way to make it better is if you take it back to the dealer/ manufacture / plant and have them dissemble the entire quarter panel and replace it. Which we ALL know that is something that they will NOT do. Very well done. Impressive craftsmanship Dr. Vladimir.

Just the section made the most sense. Nice work. Really glad you applied the anti-corrosion treatment inside before starting to weld. Just hope you apply anti-corrosion after the welding, before any bondo work. It's a Mercedes!
Good tip that using the strip to cover both sections before welding ..saves any weld blowing through and a much stronger joint.. even stronger than when it came out the factory for sure.
Great as always!!! Nice video keeps up so much fun!!!😊😉
You make it look so easy! Makes me want to do it myself!
Just the section. Less welding, more original parts preserved. Looking good!

The kind of work you do we or me trust your judgment no matter what other people think you are the pro 👍👍👍👊👊👊✌✌✌
Hi from UK. Been watching loads of your videos and you are 'The Main Man'. Great Vids Dr Vlad and your passion is evident in the work you do, keep them coming. 👍👍
Good job dr vlad. I like just repair the quarter panel like you did.
Your a wise man just replacing the damaged section in these cars and keeping it as close to factory as possible for structural integrity. Why would one cut more than needed. Respect to Ur judgement
👌I think the way you've made the repair keeps more of the original integrity of that read quarter panel.... Looking good 👍
Wow. Looks good.
Vlad, I absolutely agree with your technique. Keep as much original sheet metal on the car.
Great work my friend 👍🏻
You did right, no need to change the whole quater panel Vlad, if other people think you should do that, they are not really experienced at this kind of repair, we do the same as you here in Sweden. Nice work Dr.

Nice work! :)
Great video my friend, excellent repair from Dr Vlad as usual, please remember to put the sound proofing back in above the wheel arch before welding it back up otherwise there will be a lot of road noise from that corner 👍
good working and good luck
Nice job dude !
I’m from Malaysia & I’m very enjoy to watch ur video everyday ur job was perfectly great very nice I can’t see any workshop can do this in Malaysia
Once again the Doctor In and ready to proceed to plastic surgery. Great tip on the inner support between panels. If budget was not a problem entire quarter would be removed and replaced but saving money and time for the customer
Wow crazy good Job Love it can t wait on next Video 👍❤️👍

Good job
Учу английский язык по вашим видео! Классные видео, вы молодцы
when you’re doing this kind of panel repair it would be great if you pointed out that the outer skin of metal is actually ‘non-structural’. The rockers (sills in the UK) and A B and C pillars are all multi-layers of metal with key parts made from extra strong boron steel for rigidity. When you cut in the repair section the little tabs are often called ‘gussets’. You did a very professional job. If anyone wants to see more major car surgery they should check out Arthur Tussik on KZread . someone’s going to get a sweet Mercedes!
You picked the right section!
Only that section, Vlad. It really doesn't make sense the other way.

nice man
You will not be able to replace the bag of anti-vibration foam, otherwise it may burn due to the welding ?
If it was mine I’d do that section as well, if it’s a customer I’d do whatever Mercedes says. Clean work as always bro
С удовольствием смотрю твои видео
Приятно посмотреть.👍
A favor. Could you spend a little time the next time you section a quarter panel going over how to measure, mark, and cut for the replacement piece. I'm always curious how you get it to match up that well. Liking this rebuild so far. Can't wait for the GLE 63 parts to make an appearance.
I think the sectioning is fine...and agree, do the minimal invasive "surgery". How come you did not put weld through primer on the "backing plates" you made on the joints? Shouldn't that bare metal be coated before sealing it all up?
Dr Vlad in the house, first time clicking so fast.

It is rigth to chance only that section because changing the entire quarter panel is more work. So fast vlad!!!
At first I thought you should have replaced the entire quarter panel however, once done I think it’s fine the way you did it.
Vlad, you already know that you only remove what is absolutely necessary. Another great job and video.
Section it. I’d use the extra cash to help for you guys to do an AMG conversion. Awesome work Dr Vlad.

Unless you’ve ever actually replaced a full quarter panel, you have no idea how much is actually involved, if you can replace a small section like that, it’s just as good of a repair, and you leave as much original as possible.
