REBUILDING 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ S550 NO FRAME DAMAGE AND AIR SUSPENSION FAULT

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Some of the parts we order have came in, its time to get to work. I do some body work and put on the headlight and fender to see if they fit and I check on the Air Suspension system there might be a problem there. Thanks for Watching! Stay Tuned for more Mercedes Rebuild Videos.

Ivan I know that Mercedes parts are very expensive (in the UK too) so it was good that you saved the bonnet. Someone said fit the airbags first, I would agree with that. Once all that is fitted you may need to get the Mercedes man back to clear the codes using their 'Star System' but fit all you can first. Great video Brothers this build is coming along nicely. 👍

Check the ride height sensor linkages especially the left front one for damage- bent or broken. If bracket is out of position it will change the target height. If all look ok check the voltages of the sensors through the computer. Also look for an up button on dash. Hitting that will lift vehicle up about an inch and will show you if system tries to operate. You will figure it out

Ivan, great video, glad to see the Mercedes coming along so well! I’m sure you know that primer, paint, clearcoat, and aluminum are all designed to last for many (if not hundreds) of years, that’s why we use ‘em! Unfortunately, all of those things (and more) are now in your lungs. I know, I know…it was only for a few minutes. I love your channel, your videos, and have the highest admiration for you and Michael, so please take this as some advice from one of your biggest fans-Please, please wear lung, hearing and eye protection every time! It may be hard to imagine at your age and health, but I’ve seen the terrible impact this can have on folks, and it ain’t pretty, to say the least. And not only is wearing the proper PPE good for you, it’s the right example to set for your employees and for every aspiring rebuilder who watches every moment of every video on your channel. Best to you! -Don Kinney

You guys should’ve got the 2018 update front end S63 AMG, looks way better. And if I were you, I’d wrap that car. I’d also look at an active exhaust system. That car is badass and you could max out your resale.

Air ride is probably part of the ABS/traction control/stability system which may be connected to the air bags- probably going to have to get the new air bags installed before it will all reset.
