UPDATE: Now all of the current Shorty and Thunder exhausts come with black ceramic-coated stainless-steel clamps instead of the polished SS clamp seen in this video. You can also request a nameplate delete if you don't like the red Coffman's logo on the exhaust.

I worked with Coffman's Exhaust Systems to develop a slip-on exhaust that fits the lines of the Rebel 1100. My first video on this project was using a different exhaust that was designed for the Honda CB500F/X, and the angle wasn't quite right. This new unit blends with the lines of the Rebel 1100 much better, and it's tucked in closer to the swingarm to provide a more streamlined look.
Installation of the Coffman's slip-on is very simple. Just loosen the two 12mm exhaust clamp bolts at the bottom and the single 12mm exhaust hanger bolt on the top of the Honda muffler. Wiggle and rotate the muffler while pulling upward from the exhaust pipe, and the exhaust will slide off. There is a graphite exhaust gasket at the coupling that might need to be removed from the exhaust pipe if it doesn't come off with the muffler.
Slide the Coffman's muffler onto the exhaust pipe and set your angle/rotation where you want it... just take notice of how close it is in relation to the swingarm. Drill a 9/64" hole through the exhaust pipe for the safety rivet and then secure the new muffler with the pop-rivet. Tighten the stainless steel exhaust clamp at the base of the muffler. Then start the bike and listen to the glorious growl from the Coffman's Shorty exhaust! 👏😉
