Good point David. The shaft is such a saving in time and maintenance. As for remembering, I need a script on the bike to read from but I fear the wind would blow it around way too much. I promise to improve. Wait, thats a big call, let's just say I'll try harder😂. Thanks for the comment 😊

I own a Can Am Spyder and love it. I can see the appeal of the Ryker - three wheels with a twist and go operation. The Ryker is an affordable option for those who want the safety which is the reason I went from a two-wheeler to the Spyder. As you no doubt know you must take a stay upright course to get a permit to ride a Ryker as it is classed as a motorcycle. I see now that in some states there are specialised three-wheeler training courses but you must supply your own machine. I hope you have many hours of enjoyable riding on the Ryker.

As I was watching you repairing the air filter housing all I could think was that duct tape will fix the problem 😀. You forgot to mention the best part of the Ryker, the shaft drive. It makes looking after them so much easier after you have been bush on it. I used to have the Spyder but was always worried about the belt but with the Ryker that's not a problem anymore.

Hey guys, great videos. My wife also has a Ryker, after a short stint on Vespa, and she loves it. Onya Tom for owning up to the mistake :). Did you work out what the rattle was for the air cleaner body - part that fixes to the engine? I notices when changing the oil - checked the air filter - and my wifes Ryker also moves. Not rattling yet during riding - but I know when it starts, if I'm riding I'll be taking a sock with me to fix the rattle. Any help would be much appreciated.

Good evening Lady's and Gentlemen, thanks for the question. I'll start by saying I have compared the 600 to the 900, they both have the same air box and the one on the 900 is rock steady and the 600 has slight movement. Enough movement to cause a rattle at idle. Then if the outer section as shown in the video, has any looseness, it amplifies the rattle even more. Long story short, I just put some high density foam between the two plastic bodies, the air housing and the CVT housing, sort of behind the park brake lever. One day soon I'll do another video on opening the clam shell which gives great access to all the internals and show all this in detail. For now it seems the foam packing and sealant on the outer part of the air filter have stopped the rattle. You mentioned too about checking the air filter, do you know about the other air filter on the other side for cooling the CVT housing. It was way worse than the engine filter in our case, indicating to me that it pulls much more air in than the engine. The filters are the same part number. Worth a check. Ok, hope you both have a ball riding, cheers, Tom.
